However, if they're going to remove the Lightning connector entirely to get a properly waterproof phone... then you're stuck with wireless charging (good luck)
Uh huh. My Kyocera Hydro Vibe, from 2014, is "Certified dust resistant and waterproof for IP57 - protection against dust and water
immersion for up to 30 minutes in up to 3.28 feet (1 meter) of water" *and* has wireless charging *and* has a headphone jack.
The manuals for both my 2001 Honda Civic EX and 2002 Honda CR-V EX specify oil changes every 10,000 miles of normal driving. I used to to that when I drove more, but now I drive *much* less - probably around or less than 1,000 miles / year on each - and get the oil changed once a year when I take them in for their annual state safety inspections. My service rep says this is acceptable for my usage. Currently, the Civic has about 120k miles and the CR-V has about 45k miles on them -- the CR-V was my wife's car and she died in Jan 2006...
What would happen is: water would condense on the every surface in the computer after every time you opened the case....
After opening and closing the case, you would need to run the fridge case in a dehumidification mode for several hours before turning the computer on in order to reduce the humidity below the cooled computer's dew point.
Chung Mee: Speed is important in business. Time is money. Lawrence Bourne III: You said opium was money. Chung Mee: Money is Money. Lawrence Bourne III: Well then, what is time again?
So would this be the "shooting the messenger" part of the cycle or the "blame the victim" part? I'm confused....
Neither. I was simply remarking that, if she didn't actually want to get caught, she should have thought it through better - like Snowden did. If she actually did what she did *how* she did it, and didn't expect to get caught, then she's an idiot. In addition to the fact that the NSA maintains search, printer and email logs, almost all color laser printers print their model and serial numbers in micro print on every freaking page.
If you look at her social media posts, it is clear that she was not emotionally stable and while her views were not particularly extreme, she was very passionate and riled up about even small issues. She should have had her security clearance revoked long ago.

I've seen clearances pulled for emotional instability before, but only when sparked by reported alcohol treatment. I don't know the extent that social media plays in determining somebody's fitness for a clearance with the NSA, but I have experience with the DoE.
One thing is certain, it's not an issue for being President.
Audit trails showed six people had printed copies, but only one — Ms. Winner — had also used a work computer to exchange emails with The Intercept. A search warrant application said she had found the report by plugging keywords into the N.S.A.’s system that fell outside her normal work duties — and had printed no other files.
Dumb enough that either (a) she wanted to get caught or (b) it's been created to make the Trump administration look competent and tough.
What we need now is to focus on figuring out how to make small machines that can work cooperatively to build new things, including copies of themselves.
How about we stop with the hyperbole and present the facts as is, without embellishment or absurd scare tactics? How many ridiculous now-provably-false doomsday scenarios were proclaimed over the past 40 years?
Don't know. Let me check the latest from Breitbart News and Fox News.
Simply switching to a 64 bit linux will be enough for linux users to avoid the bug
Technically that's not a fix, it just delays the problem. Admittedly it's a delay of about 292 billion years but still...
I hear that will also be the year of the Linux Desktop.

Thanks for the analysis, but I seriously hope you know I was joking.
The more time the congress spends on pointless stuff like this, the less time is left to waste taxpayer money. Carry on.

Just stuff the case with those Silica Gel Desiccant packets - problem solved.
Artificial Intelligence uses algorithms.
Natural Intelligence uses algorithms too ...
I will now end the discussion with the word Hitler.
But he would have totally been on-board with the whole whitespace to delimit things thing ...
Goodbye online banking and eCommerce.
No dissing on Google, who is Apple's actual competitor in the 21st century?
Management with no imagination.
Time is money.
But, I learned in Volunteers that money is money:
Chung Mee: Speed is important in business. Time is money.
Lawrence Bourne III: You said opium was money.
Chung Mee: Money is Money.
Lawrence Bourne III: Well then, what is time again?
RTFM. Wiser words were never acronymized.

I wish I had read this *before* I had to repair my motorcycle because it, in fact, did not help me fix it.

People didn't want what Cuban produced. It was a failure.
I hear his cigars are pretty popular.

Some of that sounds like another Twitter user.

C'mon, Snowden. She leaked because she's insane, not patriotic.
I don't know about insane, but certainly not very bright. From: Reality Winner, N.S.A. Contractor Accused of Leak, Was Undone by Trail of Clues

Surely, nothing could go wrong with that?
To track our bugs. No need for duplication of effort.
Simply call them "features" and charge extra for "upgrades" - problems solved.
We use JIRA, and have about 45,000 open issues (word Atlassian uses rather than bug).
You use JIRA, so 45,001. :-)
Update: Former president Barack Obama said the U.S. "joins a small handful of nations that reject the future."

Trump said the Paris agreement "front loads costs on American people.
Like the Republican "American Health Care Act" does, but this hurts rich people.
