You are full of outdated rubbish. You don't have to "believe" anything, there are benchmarks out there. You won't beat Iris in terms of power/performance.
Yeah, it's humorous that one of the more trendy "hip" languages these days is Python, which is as primitive and old as dirt. Sure, you can throw up a dozen cool little new frameworks with hipster names like "Celery" or "Rhudbarb" or "Nictating Gangrene" or whatever the Open Source lot likes to name shit, but it's all just 20 year old technology.
Not sure why you'd call BS on it, it's unarguably true. Of course younger 20 something employees will work, on average, more because they, on average, have fewer outside demands.
I've seen it my own life, I often worked 50-60+ hour weeks in my youth, now I'd find that crazy and silly.
OneNote does just store a file locally. There's no special protocol involved, it's a file in the filesystem that OneNote uses. Doesn't get more standard than "filesystem". If you want to sync elsewhere you'll have to use mode modern protocols than sftp.
Rage isn't the issue, it's acting on that rage with violence.
Violent road ragers should be executed. To me it's sort of like those assholes who riot over sporting events. Fuck 'em, if you're that stupid you deserve a good beating by a cop with a baton, or if you throw a brick or something a bullet in the head.
Lol! You Emacs guys are so cute! Doesn't even come close...lol. Because like most neckbeards I'm sure you're totally familiar with OneNote. God forbid you want to paste an image or screenshot. CLI4Life! Lolzers.
SFTP, lol. Yeah - that's totally popular outside the neckbeard population.
Outlook does allow you to store the data locally. If I wanted to store it in the cloud I would use something like Boxcryptor to encrypt it to a cloud drive.
Lol, you guys in your little bubbles crack me up... You remind me of "No TV" guy, always butting in to any conversation involving someone famous with "Kim Kardashian, who's that, I don't have a TV!".
Ruby is a scripting language, so it is included in the languages to which I refer. So yes, if that covers your use cases for XML then I agree doesn't sound very problematic so not sure why OP was complaining.
Lol.. The only problem with your attempt at being snide is that Microsoft's development technologies, whatever you think of their desktop OS, phones, or office suites, are beyond reproach so your joke falls more than a little flat.
Lol, which is nonsense. Tons of people in the IT/software world date and it's not an issue at any reasonable company. If there is a supervisor/subordinate relationship then there is an issue and usually a transfer or something would be in order, but otherwise they almost never give a shit.
How so, specifically? I've never had an issue with it, but then I don't use bullshit scripting languages that force me to do lots of XML processing, let my tools do it for me.
So maybe you should rephrase - if you're using c. 1992 scripting languages, XML is total shit.
Know who leads the OData brigade? Microsoft. Get your crying ready, neckbeards.
On a more serious note, OData is awesome. If you've ever tried to provide a good data query API (supporting boolean syntax arbitrary queries) via a web service it's not easy. OData does it very well.
Sure, you'll get some whining from people who don't understand it that it forces you to expose your data model to the outside world, but it does absolutely no such thing. You can, should you choose, expose a complete abstraction layer over your data model. But for a lot of uses it's really easiest to just let Visual Studio do its magic an presto, you have a web service accessible data access layer.
Lol, why? Everything is in the paper and there's nothing vaguely illegal about it. I know the movies are fun, but nobody would love to question him but the media and various fanboys.
Demonstrably and completely untrue. I am not a fan at all of our adventurism in the middle east, especially Iraq.
But it's silly to argue they have not _improved_ our readiness and strength. You need to fight to be strong, and we've been fighting. Having a military just sitting on bases and doing training exercises does not lead to the military power. You have to go fight on the ground, in the air, and at sea. And we've been doing that.
You over-estimate the power of a nuclear weapon. One MIRV will not "take out the US". It'll hurt, for sure, but a plane flown into a building "hurt" - didn't take us down.
To cripple the US and send us into a post-apocalyptic state you'd need about 10 probably.
First assholes would appear to be boss + boss's wife. It's amusing this is painted as some sexist outrage when the prime mover seems to be the boss's wife, a woman.
Second asshole would seem to be the jilted co-worker, if her allegations are true. What kind of misfit weirdo just goes up to a co-worker and starts blathering about his love. Learn social cues, you neckbeard loser. If she's interested in you it will be apparent at least to some degree, respond in kind.
Third asshole would seem to be Horvath. The whole "meritocracy rug" incident proves this out. More than likely she's a mediocre engineer at best and blames the lack of people worshiping her code on "teh sexism".
None of this really surprises me. People are just assholes, and yes men are pigs. But really I would chalk a lot of this up to people being young. I was (an even bigger) asshole until I hit about 30. So in a company of young neckbeards and chip-firmly-on-shoulder Feminists I can't imagine things working out well.
You are full of outdated rubbish. You don't have to "believe" anything, there are benchmarks out there. You won't beat Iris in terms of power/performance.
Lol, 2001 called, it wants its information back.
That's why you're a kook.
Bingo! I've identified an anti-science kook! Do I win something?
Name a "natural cure" I can't get that actually works.
You can usually easily identify them. If you know someone who uses any of these phrases/ideas then you know a kooky nut-kook.
Big Pharma
Western Medicine
White Coats
Allopaths/Allopathic Medicine
Cancer, easily treated with magic supplement X
Chemotherapy/Radiotherapy are scams and don't ever work.
Lyme Disease
The list goes on.. It's some sort of personality disorder IMO, because I know otherwise intelligent people who buy into this nonsense.

How cute! Java is only about 5 years behind. They'll catch up one day, by gum!
I kid, I kid. I have to do some Java stuff and this is definitely welcome but sorry - given the choice I will pick .NET/C# every time where possible.
Oops, meant OneNote not Outlook.
OneNote does just store a file locally. There's no special protocol involved, it's a file in the filesystem that OneNote uses. Doesn't get more standard than "filesystem". If you want to sync elsewhere you'll have to use mode modern protocols than sftp.

Employing any male 18-35 is a huge liability, and hiring any male 35-60 is probably a pretty big one too. Face it, we're all fucking pigs.
Good luck with your low liability company...
And no, I'm not excusing unprofessional behavior simply stating reality.
Lol, which is nonsense. Tons of people in the IT/software world date and it's not an issue at any reasonable company. If there is a supervisor/subordinate relationship then there is an issue and usually a transfer or something would be in order, but otherwise they almost never give a shit.
OData has been around for ages, it's not new. It's a standard for passing rich, structured queries over HTTP, that's it.
How so, specifically? I've never had an issue with it, but then I don't use bullshit scripting languages that force me to do lots of XML processing, let my tools do it for me.
So maybe you should rephrase - if you're using c. 1992 scripting languages, XML is total shit.

What’s in the box...Nokia charger adaptor (CA-146C)
