Hahahahahah dude, getting bought out cost money. It's not cheap to hire lawyers to review everything an make sure there are not issues. Oh and I guarantee that Google would have brought the merger justice dept because Microsoft is just extended it's reach again. 60% of the search market is nothing compared with 80% of the desktop market.

No but that is short sighted view, I know it's a hated idea but money does trickle down. Scientist like to have their building cleaned and getting equipment built by people who probably get paid the same or better than your average auto worker. It doesn't matter where the money goes as much as the fact that's it's moving. Right now it's not moving.

Yes because 6 million dollars for a simple mistake(or lie cause not all of these cases are true) is really the correct way to make doctors want to help you out. Look the Court system has been abused and this isn't capitalism at all. Nothing in capitalism says anything about emotional damages and other bullshit like that.

But if you know the money is going to support the organization then yes it's illegal in the United States at least. But in the current case, these guys didn't force anyone to only post copyrighted (EVERYTHING IS) material illegally to their site. You can't control what others do in an open space like this. I don't think they actively supported it either. They just claim that their site would not do anything to prevent or encourage the pratice. They would be a neutral directory service to facilitate bittorrent. Which in itself is hardly anything that can be considered illegal. I don't get how the links to torrent files automatically equal infringement. It should be explained in court that these files contain nothing more than a way to find other data that once assemble would give you the original file. None of those pieces of data go through the pirate bay's websites.

Considering the company is the only user they can request to have the code the vendor request that it be GPL'ed so if they do any change and try to sell it the original company can get the code back and review the changes. In effect, the company buying the software gets no advantage in reselling the original code while they still get what they paid for. Both company win in this format.
