The user must click on the link to access the original content.

You might control of a resource in a region but that's usually very hard to do also. Capitalism doesn't create monopolies, Government do in the way they define ownership of things.

Well, I think what they were trying to prevent is those site providing information to the opposition inside the country. I don't think they meant attacking Iranian's IT infrastructure with websites. Just helping the opposition organize and give them information. In that sense I see why they would want to shut those sites down. On the other hand, I think those sites might be a good thing if they help the Iranian opposition group organize but I'm a biased westerner.

That's exactly it. The gov needs to be able to flexibly hire new staff on demand and fire them on demand. They used contractors for this, now they want to do that in house. This is the new cloud of employee power.

Actually, I've worked for a state government and never seen an IT postion paid better than in the private sector, including benefits. In fact they usually were getting 10-20% (low estimate) less than the private sector would offer. A dba in state government will rarely ever (don't know any) get the average salary of the market.

The fact that they store the password just shows plain lack of skill or laziness to implement a better access method by their admins. Store the pass where they could potentially be accessed is the issue here. What happens if the database is hacked and the passwords stolen without their knowledge. Insider hacking is also an major issue. Having the root password could allow an attacker to log in and erase all traces easily. Of course it's doable with physical access too but in that case, it's a little more intrusive.

It means that someone, I believe the hackers have already been found, obtain these files illegally. Landis used the files to attempt to prove his innocence (nothing wrong there). The problem is, what level of involvement did he have with the hackers in the first place. They want to show that he put them up to it or financed them or something. The lab in question and the French doping agency are embarrassed and would love to get payback. I always had a feeling that they might have fudge the results to get some massive publicity and glory.

Yeah well considering how well Pereiro has been doing since that year, Pereiro and the rest might have been a pure joke allowing Landis to win and appear like a superman. Had Lance run that year, he might have looked like superman x10. Same for the other years until 09. The best talent is really young right now, no one is calling Schleck(s) or Wiggins dopers yet they embarrassed the previous years champions since Lance (or Landis considering he wasn't there but my bets are that he would have been no where near top 6).

And I'm not saying Lance is or is not using drugs but he's innocent until convincingly proven guilty. This has not been achieved yet considering he still rides.
