What's the point of living but to try to understand our universe and find the true answer to life, universe, and everything. Everything else is just fluff.
Was going to say, but as far as I can tell they aren't much more expensive than some off-site facilities and you get a online backup that's accessible for small restores.
This should be handled at the infrastructure level. DNS doctoring is bad for many reason. I'm sure a firefox or IE addon would actually be much more preferable. Something easy to dis-activate when things break.
Hum, so what your saying is in a way the government has managed to somewhat do what it intended to do all along right? Increase growth. I mean, the 12mpg 1987 truck will die someday.
Well, you don't have to repay if you can stay afloat for ever. Government have the luxury of long term thinking (they assume eternity). In the end if the next generation produces more the the current one. You can run deficits for ever.
But is the future generation going to be able to keep gdp growth?
I still have a problem with this argument, for one thing you can't upgrade a 28mpg car to a 30mpg car since the 28mpg car won't qualify anyway under the current program(My 22 mpg 95 dodge pickup doesn't qualify).
Since the program is limited in how many people will be able to benefit, is it not better to prioritize people going from 15mpg to 35mpg then the people going from 15 to 19? I mean, in the end all those suv buyers are taking away spots for people who would end up getting a much better deal for themselves and the economy. The gov should be mandating a much higher MPG then just a 3mpg change or whatever is minimum since the maximum mpg for a clunker is so low.
By making document formats convoluted and sometimes impossible to implement fully, they created a barrier to entry. By implenting internet explorer into the OS so deep that you can't work around it sometimes also makes it hard to not have to use it at least once in a while. The list goes on, when is the last time your couldn't just go around and find the same thing on yahoo, google, bing because they have some proprietary results you can reimplemented without breaking some sort of patent, agreement or something similar. The closest thing I can think of is Google book search where they are trying to get exclusive rights to digitize the books. I think that one will be shutdown soon.
Except looking at the larger picture, Microsoft is still a monopoly in the desktop world, browser world...... helping them obtain more market monopolies isn't a good idea. I understand why people in the advertising community don't like the current situation considering they have to use Google to reach a significant part of the internet population but at the same time, this isn't because of actual barriers on user choice. If I want to use bing I can, nothing on Google (search that is) is really retaining me other than it's familiar and has proven itself for years. They are selling me to you and frankly they aren't preventing anyone in advertising from user competitors but they do have a larger audience to offer. You still have a choice albeit equivalent to the current choice of developing software for the mac or windows platform and Linux too. I'm not sure I understand how it's on the same level as other major monopolies of the past.
Also wtf would Microsoft be allowed to do the exact same thing Google tried to do a year or so ago. Microsoft hasn't proven itself to be any less of a monopolistic company and they are using the internet to add power to their already large clout.
Just as and example, I went ahead and managed to configure it up to 16K (without monitors) this include 4x graphics cards, 5tb drives, fiber channel cards, mac osx server and pretty much the max on everything I could find. Add monitors and taxes and you almost hit that mark.
BUT with all that said, a comparable dell won't be cheap.
I beg to differ, you can add a crap load of stuff to those Mac Pro's. Audio editing cards, Professional level video cards, raid cards..... and you will get freakin close to 20K.
I can't understand that, if theirs only one ISP it should be a requirement to maintain at least basic service. Considering how much government business is moving online, this is now a requirement to function.
It functions as a usb disk on OSX and Linux. The only disadvatage is you don't get the pretty interface. I can at least put personal files on this device, unlike the kindle (originally)
so? it's bad ethically. My wife, non techie, now doesn't like the kindle after I told her this. It's bad publicity for them. She loves the Sony reader I bought, she's got tons of book from the Gutenberg project (and now google is helping make it easier for her through the sony ebook store).

they would give you guys a more credible look. Dunno if that's a win or loose but uniforms do have psychological effects on people.
Why is it not about Java also? MySQL is big but Java is bigger.
But realistically, china can produce weapons for much cheaper than we can. Do you really want to under gear the troops?

I use vonage for that
And we all know how well the app for the iphone are doing when they do something Apple/at&t doesn't like.
Interesting, I will now look on ebay for an old ammo box.

But isn't that cost just being postponed? I mean, the car will eventually fail and require replacement.

So now we can feed them to the future invasion of zombies? That way we can all co-exists.
