  1. vote republican and watch this country collapse on Best Presidential Candidate, Republicans · · Score: -1

I'm voting Republican because I want to see this football loving, science hating culture fail.

And it already is failing, as evident by the falling dollar, the outsourcing of high tech jobs, and the growing gap between rich and poor. A few more republicans in office and we'll be third world in no time, especially compared to the liberal countries like Canada and those in Europe (Sweden and Netherlands come to mind), which is fine by me because I'm planning on moving in the next three years - that is, once I finish my bachelors in mathematics.

Enjoy your shitty sports, religious dogma, and science hating because when all the professionals flee this country to others that are more open in terms of personal liberties (age of consent for one) and this country goes bankrupt, I'll be the one laughing and saying "I told you so."

  10. Re:Let's Face it on MySpace Agrees to Share Sex Offender Data · · Score: -1

Your argument is flawed, in many ways in regards to this discussion.

Being raped and thrown out of a car into a permanent, near-fatal state is very different from simply being raped. You are confusing sex with brutal violence, both stemming from very different motives. Many rape "victims" are raped through force but the majority do not get thrown out of cars, off buildings, or any other life impairing handicap given. I use the word victims lightly here because a lot of rape today is consensual, by its definition.

Your confusion is not your own, however. Being that "rape" is used to describe such a wide variety of sexual and even non-sexual things, including consensual sex between people, one has to only wonder why "rapists" are feared more than anti-social homicidals like the guy at Virginia Tech. Its such a vague word that I wouldn't be surprised if it meant something completely different in another twenty years, just like the word heresy had a much stronger connotation during the reign of the Catholic Church than it does today.

The only reason the ROI on myspace is so high is because its run on a bunch of low bandwidth servers. As the user base has grown tenfold, and they have expanded the amount of media (movies, more pictures) available, it still has a very tiny amount of bandwidth. Its really quite ridiculous actually, its like a website in a constant state of being slashdotted while being hosted on a cable modem. I await the demise of Tom and his shitty MySpace...lets hope it happens in the near future.

  23. I liked Square, I really did... on Why is Kingdom Hearts II So Popular? · · Score: -1

Square has been going down the shitter for a while now, and most people who have played the older games realize this. By utilizing Disney characters in their games, however, Square has reached an all time low (yes, I know there was also KH1). When I see Micky Mouse/Goofy/Donald Duck/etc I think to myself, "There are those annoying piece of shit mascots on the 'come to disneyland!' commercials," not, "Those are some unique characters that I can relate to on one level or another through an RPG storyline enough to play it through 20+ hours."

At this point in the game, SquareEnix is simply selling its previous good karma it had from making some of the older classics (FF, Chrono Trigger, even FFOnline). Lucky for me, I have no time anyways to play games right now because of finals, so I won't be tempted to try this bastardization of a game.
