    The same. We have a competent IT staff, haven't had any major snafus really. Mostly problems between the keyboard and the chair :)

    Slick system, login via CAC card (common access card) with a PIN. Emails can be encrypted with a digital signature. When online training is completed it is automatically added to your record and signed with your key. Very slick system.

    It could partially be a problem with the game, if it requires excessive amounts of time to be amusing enough for the majority of players.

    Both games mentioned are open-ended games. There are plenty of fun activities to be had at any level. I know many people who never get past 30 or so, and play more than me - they just enjoy where they are at. People wreck their own lives. People need to take personal responsibility for their actions.

    What I don't understand is that I thought GPUs were made to offload a lot of graphics computations from the CPU. So why are we merging them again?

    a really, really fast pipe. It is a lot quicker to push stuff from CPU->GPU when they are on the same piece of silicon, versus the PCIe or AGP bus. Speed is what matters, it doesn't look like they are moving the load one way or another (although moving some load from CPU->GPU for vector based stuff would be cool if they had a general purpose toolkit, which I'd imagine one of these three companies will think about).

    from a respected school in Aerospace while holding down a full time job (often with overtime), a wife and kids and playing Everquest (occasionally WoW. My friends play, but I prefer EQ). It all comes down to self-control. The game is not the problem. It is individual people's lack of self-control and lack of priorities that cause problems.

    Several satellites (two would be good, three for optimal coverage if you need minimal angular divergence from the surface) in a Molniya orbit would provide coverage over a static point in space, not over the equator. For the vast majority of the orbit ( greater than 12 hours, 18 IIRC [it has been awhile since I've done orbital mechanics, I'm a missile guy]) the satellite is in clear view of the point. Russians have been using this technique for surveillance of American assets for decades. And yes, I am a Rocket Scientist.

    MS supported USB only from win98, afair.

    Windows95c, on the install disc. And you could get USB to work on Windows95a and Windows95b with a driver from Microsoft or the manufacturer.

    Microsoft does not support an official way to run multiple versions of Internet Explorer on the same system. This is only really an issue for web developers who need to test their websites in older versions of IE.

    Only home edition. Get a copy of corportate. And if this is a work project you should (a) be using corporate at work and (b) get your work to foot the bill for an upgrade at home

    See? Easy. Not a nickel out of your pocket.

    The MMO market is huge, explosive, and has not hit the consoles (probably due to the fact that it would suck to use a keyboard/mouse in a recliner). Between all the MMO's we are talking about an easy 10,000,000 players

    According to the court filing, Ms. Draker has been harassed by others accessing the web page ... I guess I would count harassment I did not provoke as "danger." It is also a matter of libel, which is why she is taking the matter to court. The wide dispursal, beyound just a few students and the class... kinda like defending a trademark, if you don't do something about it your name loses its innocence. Sure, some bloggers are committing libel, but that's not the same as calling somebody a lesbian.

    More to it than that. It isn't that simple.

    The principal's blaming the students for supposed 'improper' behavior, and the students' retribution for it are really part of the same problem.

    Yeah. The problem is, the kids got disciplined and instead of taking it like young adults they went and screwed around on the Internet, calling their teacher a lesbian (among other things). Sounds like some snotty brats that either haven't been properly parented or need some community service or something to redirect their energies.

    there is a repair mission in the works to keep Hubble alive till 2013.

    the James Webb Space Telescope is slated to enter operations in 2013. Some parts are under construction already.

    If Hormel was smart, they'd see this as a product opportunity. Use the fact that people are always thinking of your product name. Have a weird ad campaign that associates the two in some funny way.

    They have billboards in Minnesota (where SPAM is manufactured and the SPAM museum is located) which are humerous in nature. Last trip through the god-forsaken state (I'm from Wisconsin), one of them made a reference to the "other" spam...

    In high school I loved space. I loved looking at the stars. Thinking about satellites, the coming commercialization of space, etc. So I went to school to become an Aerospace Engineer.

    By your logic I shouldn't have, because I "took a thing I truly loved that *wasn't* work and *made it* work" ... but you know what? I love work! I can't think of anything I'd rather be doing. And if I were doing something else I'd probably be watching the clock to race home and work on my real passion for space. Think about what you are saying. You should do what you love.
