LOL at Palin calling Julian Assange "Unamerican". What's so bad about that when he isn't in fact American in the first place?/can't commit treason against a country where you aren't a citizen//proud to be unamerican
With a regular SLR camera, if they don't like the fact that you've been taking pictrures, they can demand your film and expose it, destroying the images.
A digital camera can store hundreds of pictures on a card you can easily conceal, or send the pictures to another device before the authorities can demand your pictures.
Well, if sending LIVE people...is this voluntary, or can we vote who goes to Mars one way.
Frankly, I've got a LOT of politicians in mind that I'd happily vote off the planet!!
:)
But seriously, if nothing else, why not take volunteers from people on death row, that were sufficiently intelligent? Go through training, go to Mars, stay there and you get to live.
I figure some of them might take the choice, and we'd be solving a few problems at once that way...
It's been done before.

You've discussed graffiti, which is a crime in Australia and material that discusses or promotes it are Refused Classification. Welcome to the blacklist ladies and gentlemen, with more to come.
You have to remember, it's not designed for content creation, it's designed for content consumption. that's why all the magazine publishers are salivating over this hoping to be able to charge for content again and save their outdated business models.
Having driven for a while in the UK, and comparing driving there with Australia, I noticed very quickly that drivers were generally more aware and more courteous in the UK.
Sydney drivers are the way they are becuase again most of the city is car dependant, so it is difficult for someone who does not drive to get around. therefore making the licence test too hard is a vote loser.
They did it with Motorcyclists and the death rate dropped dramatically (too lazy to look it up, but tehre was a big drop) When it comes to cars it seems it's easier (and more lucrative) to punish people for their lack of skill than to train them in properly in the first place.
Funnily enough, the air conditioning in a lot of older buildings (especially hotels) does exactly this. The air is chilled centrally to a really low temperature and then the temperature is regulated in each room by heating it up again, thus reducing the humidity.
My Toshiba satellite only has a mic input, but when it senses that you have plugged something in, it pops up a dialog to ask whether you have plugged in a microphone or a line level audio source, and then configures the levels appropriately.
Yours may be similar. Try plugging into the mic input and see what results you get. If it doesn't work, you'll get horribly distorted audio. In that case, you'll need a USB audio adaptor.
The thing is, it's in the Bank's interest to NOT have you go to the bank. If they can come up with ways of having you do your banking online, by phone, or by post, they can close branches, save money and no-one will care.
Here in Australia, the big four banks actually charge you a fee if you want to do something actually at the bank.
Mind you they charge you a fee for just about everything...
That's how it works. When pretty much everything is illegal, it's easy to find a pretext to arrest someone you don't like.
The Apostle Paul Dealt with this one:
But if you are using abundant solar energy to produce that thermal energy, the efficiency doesn't matter so much.

Doesn't matter. My phone camera has a GPS and the ability to geotag photos.

They'll only be statues when you're looking at them.
Don't blink.

I'm Brian, and so's my wife.
No one is to stone anyone, until I blow this whistle.
Didn't you mean
1. Engineers HP Calculators use serious?
Ah! Souls!
Didn't that happen 11 years ago?
If you reckon dogs aren't inherently greedy, you've never seen one eat.

Perhaps, but you're assuming that it will be obvious to them how to assemble the signal to make a picture, or even that it is a picture.

Try playing Quake 4 on an Intel Video card. Let us know how you get on.
Yes, but not all actinides are isotopes of Uranium.
Not really.
With combustion, you have the same amount of matter you started with. What you are doing is releasing energy tied up in the chemical bonds.
