Exactly. I watched their commercial (it's not a demo, it's a commercial, and everything is faked) and when I saw the girl "driving" with her hands in the air it hit me : I couldn't last five minutes with this game. When you drive your hands are not in the air, the rest on the wheel.
This product is incredibly stupid, and like Surface it will never exist in real life.
I live in France. I've seen many programming *students* refuse to read documentation in English (also, my current school gives us some documents in English but those are written by French people... in *very* bad English). Actual programmers, not so much. At work we use English names but French comments.
I have 22278 songs on my computer, about 1000 of them are rips from my own CDs (none of them are by labels of the RIAA by the way). It's just that I want that music but can't afford to pay more. So why not download them?
And at $1/song it's just better to buy a CD - you get cool artwork, no lossy encoding, no drm, and a backup of your digital rip.
I started using OpenDNS because my ISP's DNS servers were partly unresponsive and I haven't looked back since.
Also I've seen many major ISPs with insecure DNS servers... at least I know the OpenDNS guys know what they are doing.
Better solution: have a/boot partition, which is the default on Gentoo. Your/boot partition (under 40 mb) will be ext2, and the rest will be whatever you want.
Most software on Linux is installed using a trusted package manager.
FLASH is about read access time. Throughput can be gotten far cheaper with conventional drives and RAID1.
You mean RAID0. Note that you could do RAID0 with Flash drives and have both.
And if it was former students of Oxford it could have been Alumninum.
They won't do it, because some websites work only with IE (ActiveX intranets and lousy javascript mainly) and they will want to keep it that way.
Version numbers are especially important - users will use the one with the highest version, i.e. IE 8.
They both suck.
This card will become a means to make people prove their "Indianness".
Little Indian or Big Indian?
You don't have to be a Republican to think that Michael Moore is a bullshit machine.

You mean there are powerful ARM CPUs suited for heavy desktop usage?
Plain and simple: because the iPhone is a prison. You can't install anything that isn't approved by Apple's App Store.
Except that control by the UN is no better than control by the US, perhaps worse. RTFA!
Ever heard of "==="?
They requested info on who played a leaked album, which at the time could only be acquired through piracy.
Sorry but capitalism is NOT imaginary property. I fully support capitalism, The Pirate Bay, and bankruptcy for the major music labels.
This is Slashdot. No one RTFA.
Bill Murray is OLD. And that was in 2005.

Voluntarily? Why would they do that? Too many customers?

For characters instead of numbers you can use jot, e.g. jot -r -c 1 a z returns one random char.
