I have to agree that in the future we will use cell/mobile phones as our portable media players.
With the increasing space availiable on cell phones, and technology and software, music will be an increasing want on mobiles. Smart phones is where it's at. Will it be with microsoft operating systems? Only time will tell. But sure enough, it will happen.
As an ex-student of a UK School, i had continually pressed the computer teachers and admin for that matter about how to get the best out of a budget and start to use freeware and alternatives.
Their reply was that it was in the student's interests that they use the market leaders because when or if we go into an IT enviroment in the workplace, we would know how to use Microsoft products, because everyone knows that big businesses use Office, Windows 98 and XP on their cool IBM machines!!one11!.
But again, these were the teachers that halted everyone from going on the internet because viruses were publisised in the media.
I don't think things will change. Microsoft will start giving education grants, or double what they do already.
If your business depends on a term that is unique to your business, you need to trademark it. That's probably why Adam Curry (Founder of Ipodder and Podfather) picked Podshow (a podcsat hosting and advertising business). They can trademark that if they want.
I did some research and there is a Mr. Spencer trying to trademark "podcsat" or "podcasting", but he's going to have some tough going establishing a unique right to a term that has a google value of 4,540,000 for podcast. (0.07 seconds)
He is going to have to prove that 4,540,000 others are wrong.
I'm no lawyer, but that seems like a difficult thing to establish.
And no doubt the RIAA has already sent subpoenas and cease and desist orders for evading them for so long.
But seriously, this is spectacular. To think that there might be another planetary system within viewing distance, albeit a few small pixels is mind numbing. This is bloody brilliant.
Any suggestions on names?
Hopefully the next episodes will be much more welcoming. The last two episodes had a good story line, however the slapstick of the farting aliens, and hearing the Dr. actually say "fart" several times was more than pathetic, it was cring-making.
Well, if you do really want it, sure. But i do warn you, you'll end up being wanted by interpol, all 50 states and being on the top 15 most wanted by the FBI. Oh, and more serious, my old identity was signed up for the Barney newsletter.
The anti-discrimination bill was one of the bills that they didn't have the resources to follow.
For a moment there, i thought that microsoft was a multi-billion doller company with huge and a vast number of signifigant influences that the corporation could use in helping this bill.
My Bad.
Ok, these things last for 10 years? But how long will it take for me to charge these little buggers?

Unfortunately, as a left-handed person in a world run by the right-handers, i've been forced to use a computer like my right-handed overlords.
:(
I feel so oppressed.

$9.62 billion in sales...
So it's true what they say about microsoft, they DO make a doller out of every bug, crash and problem...
You're exactly right, which is why the UPS and FedEx have ordered a few Cargo versions of the A380.
Large capacity and fuel efficiency is going to give those guys some savings in the millions per year.

I don't use my own identity anymore anyway.
Perhaps the reason the MPAA and RIAA is loosing 3.5 billion is because spending the money on bent officials?
