  1. Way to go Microsoft on IE 7.0 Beta 2 Available to the Public · · Score: 0

    So I am supposed to compare sites in IE 7 to how they are in IE 6 and you replace my IE 6 with this beta version? Shouldn't there be separation so I can test against the current browser? Jesus Microsoft...

    That's because it comes with Quicktime 7 final for Windows

  3. Rounded Corners on Help Beta Test Slashdot CSS · · Score: 0

    Instead of using images for your rounded corners, why not adopt part of css3 early and use the border-radius [webkit] property? It's only supported in safari so far but once the rest of the browsers adopt this it will shave a lot of images off the site, therefor, speeding it up a bit. Plus they look so damn good!

    If Leo was truly as smart as he thinks he is, he wouldn't have had such a ridiculous prediction for the Intel move. He is constantly making the wrong predictions on his show and the only reason that twit is even getting downloaded is because of Patrick Norton and Kevin Rose.

    It's not the users option, it's the artists. There are a million independent labels that can do what any major can (maybe not on the same advertising level, but very close). Get larger name artists to go to independent's...offer more music for free in trade for you buying tickets to their shows...which is where the bands cake comes from anyway.

    A big artist should be able to tackle this no problem...There are hundreds of big name independent artists that don't work because they're making money doing what I mentioned...

    Get on your favorite bands ass to change things.

  9. The threat IS linux on No Threat to Linux with Apple and Intel Deal · · Score: 1
    The threat to linux is linux itself. Here are just a few reasons,
    • Too many distros
    • Lack of support from important vendors
    • Upgrading to new versions is a pain
    • No set standards
    And don't give me that it isn't done yet bullshit. How long has it been in development with how many developers? Right...a lot longer than OS X. I don't think linux will ever be in the desktop in mass quantaties because it's just to schizophrenic. I bet this will effect the linux server market someday as well.

    OS X is what every desktop linux distro wants to be. I'd rather pay 129 bucks for something complete, that has support, and that I know will be there tomorrow.

    I wish desktop linux was never envisioned...it's a complete mess today.

  11. Re:x86 != PC on Could Apple's Intel Desktop Threaten Linux? · · Score: 1

    Yeah you're right on that one...the only difference though between an actual mac and a pc will be a custom motherboard. The parent seems to think every bit of Apple's hardware is custom, which is a lie.

  12. Re:x86 != PC on Could Apple's Intel Desktop Threaten Linux? · · Score: 1

    Yeah, ATA, SATA, AGP, DDR RAM, firewire, usb 2, and a Pentium 4 are never found in the same box like Apple's boxes. Apple boxes will be a standard PC. Just better quality.

  13. Video cards on Apple Switching to Intel · · Score: 1

    Has no one else thought about the video cards that will be available to apple now? No need for a mac version of the card with mac firmware, just an updated driver if I'm correct. This is HUGE...maybe as big as the processor change itself.
