How about a government-sponsored plan or tax-incentive to put solar panels or shingles on all businesses and homes like they are doing for efficient windows and appliances?
It is time to move away from burning and nuking things for energy.
A simple, efficient and totally clean answer to our renewable energy needs. I am ready to go solar and so are many people I know.
This is probably just the beginning of an amazing engineering feat that will allow the disabled to have the option of walking or using a wheelchair. I am sure people will adopt this readily and will become one of the most useful products out there.

FTA: "AOL removed the search data from its site over the weekend and apologized for its release, saying it was an unauthorized move by a team that had hoped it would benefit academic researchers."
Why are they saving this search data to begin with other than the profit motive? I highly doubt it was solely to benefit academic researchers.
What are our expectations of privacy when using search engines? Don't we have the right to assume that they do NOT save any personally identifiable information?
For now, I have learned NOT to use AOL for searches.
Take the profit motive out of everything, invest in education and diversify your political electoral system and reform campaign finance....would be a start
In 2007, Harris Interactive surveyed 489 randomly selected members of either the American Meteorological Society or the American Geophysical Union for the Statistical Assessment Service (STATS) at George Mason University. The survey found 97% agreed that global temperatures have increased during the past 100 years; 84% say they personally believe human-induced warming is occurring, and 74% agree that “currently available scientific evidence” substantiates its occurrence. Only 5% believe that that human activity does not contribute to greenhouse warming; and 84% believe global climate change poses a moderate to very great danger.[98] [99]
Aside from all the talk of Intellectual Property rights laws and protectionism, the video game company Turbine and the band Radiohead have a successful 'pay what you want' model that is profitable.
Lord of the Rings online has DOUBLED its revenue since becoming free to play online. You can then pay a-la-carte for upgrades, etc. but you can still play for free if you like.
An interesting business model that may be the the one model to rule them all...

Endorsing Sharron Angle is simply just a survival tactic for the newspapers. The gaffes, foibles, unfounded and inaccurate claims she makes almost every time she opens her mouth guarantees that the newspaper will be in business for at least the next 6 years.
"We needed to have the press be our friend... We wanted them to ask the questions we want to answer so that they report the news the way we want it to be reported." --Sharron Angle, during an interview with Fox News Channel's Carl Cameron, Aug. 2, 2010

Really makes you wonder why noone in Congress is very concerned about voting integrity, is this by choice? or by sheer negligence? or both?
