I wonder what is considered 'sensitive data' these days? Anything they choose or just certain things?
And, will anyone in the public domain ever really know what has been encrypted and why?
It would be interesting to see if you could predict the outcome of a simultaneous snipe on systems with identical connections to see which signal eBay accepts or prefers?
It would be interesting to know (in that nanosecond) how eBay's servers choose the winner and if there was any 'sniping bias' found. Maybe we can get the Mythbusters on this one.
... but that's not a measure of the "how much you matter" rating... it's a meta-"how much you matter" rating. The article itself creates a massive meta-relationship paradox.
I believe Commander Data had a complex about this paradox, he could never tell if it mattered that his positronic brain could not exactly replicate a human one.
So that special little something that you need once a year, but when you need it, you need it RIGHT NOW is tied to the foot of a pigeon fluttering around the warehouse somewhere.
But look at it this way, at least the pigeon won't put you on eternal hold when you need rapid tech support in your time of crisis.
I got mine ready to go, just got to finish up duct-taping the capsule and finish drawing my logo.
Anyone else?
But seriously congratulations to Dr. Diamandis for winning! On to the moon!

Roads are great, but so is clean air & water. imho
Mankind should celebrate this Highway system anniversary by designing highly-efficient, nearly emissions-free vehicles as a next step in transportation technology.
I certainly don't matter, why am I not on that list?
Not to be matter of fact, but how much do you have to not matter in order to get on a 'People Who Don't Matter' list?
To make matters worse, you matter more just for being on that list.
If so, noone will be able to even turn their computers ON without my consent. Muahhahahahaaaa!
What other useless patents can we come up with?
A Creative Lawsuit is as American as Apple Pie

Apple Sues Creative

· Score: 3, Interesting
Creative needs to be more innovative and come up with products that sell like Apple's, otherwise they will just try creative lawsuits to make a profit.
Apple apparently has very good lawyers, people that try to sue them for a piece of the pie usually lose. No more half-baked ideas on how to sue Apple, just get back to your core products and innovate!
I stopped my cell phone service because of the price of gas, I simply can't afford to talk and drive at the same time, or any other time for that matter.
Maybe I'll just buy a bunch of these phones, take out the fuel cells and then call up the Mythbusters guys to 'trick my ride.'
bittorrent seems to be distributing everything quite well
As for SETI@home, maybe the aliens can't be detected using radio telescopes?

"As a result, there is great interest in making buildings safer and more resilient to the damaging effects of extreme weather."
Well the winds could potentially destroy the home, but the mold and rot that comes from the standing water could render it worthless.
...that can make patients aware of their surroundings and even hold conversations
;)
It could be argued that this could not only help those in a vegetative state, but our society in general.
So, will this be 95% of the population of the U.S., or 95% of the geographical area?
It will work in all areas except the ones we live in. There it will be $59.99 a month for AOL Dial-up access.
Isn't this what the Tricoder from Star Trek did?
It is in the same realm of that technology, but, it still cannot predict if the planet's women were hot enough to be 'Kirk-worthy.'
Certainly NOT!
Any company given over 'private' data (whether it is mine or another citizen's) should be held accountable if they are breaking the law.
Or do we really want to live in a paranoid society run by a paternalistic Government?
Okay, if publishing leaks is a crime so it shall be to start a war based on false pretenses.
Any takers?

but that post getting marked up insightfull, and not funny, is obsurd.
However, your spelling of the word 'absurd' was really quite funny!
When Yonah is running at the same clock speed as AMD's Athlon 64 FX-60, we found that it beat it into a corner in just about every situation.
In other words, the Athlon 64 ran fine - it just needed a bit more time to cache up to it.

First Microsoft flirts with Open Source saying it's 'maturing and more commercial,' and now they say it is not 'reliable or dependable.'
I think they are just badmouthing them because Open Source won't let Microsoft go all the way on the first date.
Thanks.
I'll drink to that, Liquorman.
Is that anything like a cyberathlete?
Only if you cut-and-paste other people's code to get faster development cycle times.
All other computer equipment manufactured in China must be removed too, by this reasoning.
This includes keyboards, mice, USB hubs, and other PC equipment.
Thank GOD the Blackberries are manufactured in Mexico!

and no idea what to do with it.
I have an idea, hold a $50,000.00 contest to find out what to do with your grid.
...is can I power my CAR with them?
