Frist makes me laugh, he says "This is a win for America's safety and security, and I'm pleased the Senate was able to rise above the partisan politics being played by the minority to do the right thing."
And we know the majority would NEVER play partisan politics to get what they want.
From the above article:
"They cut vital programs and services that benefit hard-working lower- and middle-income Americans, and with the money saved, are giving more tax cuts to the wealthiest of the wealthy."
From the ZDNet article:
"...Sen. Mike Enzi, a Wyoming Republican. "This is costing states and localities billions in lost revenue."
So the Senators think they shouldn't tax the rich, but its okay when it is everyone else.
Anyone think that this is unfair? Or is this okay with you?
did he actually do his homework on this particular topic, or will you be embarrassed in public if you use his explanation?
Most likely the 'hyper-enthusiasts' are suffering from irrational exuberance and therefore cannot be trusted. But it did sound marvelous during the explanation.
Okay, now that we have established that we should fine companies for their monopolistic practices, who's next? Airbus? Itunes? Wine & Cheese?
And if Microsoft refuses to pay the fine? What could they possibly do? They can't uninstall Windows.
They should have a caption contest for that photo of Bill Gates.
Mine would be: SHUT YOUR PIE HOLE!
"The amendment was approved 30 to 28, with 22 members of the UMP voting in favor. While there are 577 members of the lower house, few were present for last night's vote."
This title is misleading, if the measure was passed by only 2 votes and 90% of the members still have to vote, I would say the title should say that France may legalize file sharing? Or maybe I just don't know the French government very well.
Last night's amendment would allow someone having bought a song from one of those sites to share it with family or friends.
I remember hearing stories of missing laptops from Los Alamos, I guess they never found them. I wonder what was on those laptops and who was stealing them? This facility had some of the worst security measures ever seen. Hopefully the laptops were only chopped up and sold for parts.
I emailed these guys two years ago about advice for college. I want to get into a career similar to theirs. They took the time to email me back and gave their honest advice. I'm very impressed!
Did they tell you that it was a myth that a college degree will get you a good career?
There are no favorites! The myths are so varied in what they involve that it is comparing apples and oranges.
This sounds like a myth to me, a canned answer if I ever heard. I prefer oranges to apples personally.
And I would much rather do an experiment shooting something and seeing the results than finding out whether a broken clock is actually right two times a day.
I noticed that this website is very outdated. For example:

Shouldn't they try and update the site a bit so at least you don't feel like you are reading 6 year old information?
The article states: Keys are aligned with natural movements of fingers to insure proper posture when typing
This is a good thing.
Alphabetical letters are easier to find and keys are color-coded on the NSK535R to aid hunt & peck typists
Easier to find if you have never typed before, otherwise they will be just as hard to find.
All keys can be easily reached from the home position
This is true if you have small hands.
Shift keys are centralized and shift characters can be typed one-handed for assisted applications and handicapped
This may be a good thing
Editing keys are integrated
This also may be a good thing
The keyboard has a smaller footprint, which allows the mouse to be placed right next to the typing keys
This is not necessarily good, a smaller keyboard may just cramp your hands and typing leading to more mistakes?
There are only half as many keys to learn
Again, if you are using it for the first time, otherwise there are 100% more keys to learn.
It looks interesting but I am not so sure it will catch on quickly.
How many movies based on popular media have been completely ruined due to the standardization of the Hollywood script/ending? The author's own writing most likely will make the movie more unique and interesting, and true to his own vision. Hopefully the director will be someone who works hard to get the right shot.
In the United States, 10% of the population owns 71% of the wealth.

LOL it was a joke my friend but I guess you already knew that.

Who needs a law to do this?
Then maybe we can grow a new web page and read the article.

For the cyberworld is going to soon be taken over by Anonymous Cowards.
In Summary the title of this book is deceptive. I would have been better titled: Professional Open Source: A Manger's Guide.
I guess the barn animals can read this to find an open source of food.

"How common are XSS holes?"
I had to laugh at that one.
Only an XSShole would steal your cookies.
One can only hope that someone comes up with some paradigm shift in storage
Blu-Ray?
So this will mean cheaper HDD prices? Or are we to expect more expensive or stagnant pricing due to the elimination of competition?

I hear they had a giant banner hung in the US Capitol saying:
'Mission Accomplished'
...in 2005. Apparently we are in desperate need of it and we don't even know what it is.
