but even if it is only in that area - you have to prove you didn't do it, and even if you can do that you have to do it n court, even if you come away "free" then it is still there that you where once prosecuted for it, and you have to live/survive that process which will more than likely ruin your life as you know it.
if you actually read what you linked to you would realized that the main problem had nothing to do with the shuttle or even the rocket launches them selves but rather a 50's-60's-70's NASA that was operating without any environmental regulation. SpaceX uses LOX / RP-1 which has about the same by products as Jets. While yes it will put more soot into the air per flight than a jet, i have a sneaking feeling that it will be no where near the total amount over time that is put into the air of normal large airport.
Again the cleanup you linked to was for a chemical that isn't used much any more and is a problem because they where pouring it into the ground when they where done because at the time no one knew any better.
Agreed the rules/absurd fees associated with these are meant to force the smaller crowd out. the company i work for is small, but we are among the top in our field and i could see a TLD for several processes and standards that we have created and consult on over the years, but at 200k a pop we can't justify even one.
same way my makeshift one helps my son sleep, you focus on it and it is constant with a predictable/unpredictable pattern and causes you to drown out all other background noises..
Agreed - but i wouldn't say that silence is better than music in general, it depends on what i'm doing, if i'm coding then i tend to work at the pace of the music and so when i'm under a deadline i will put things with heavier faster beats and i will tend to be more productive, i also tend to be more exhausted afterwards so i limit that.
As someone who might be looking for a Job - the clearance bit drives me nuts, its a chicken and egg problem. You can't get the job without it, but you can't get a clearance unless your in a job that requires it.
If you look back at your comment "because no one has presented a skill set strong enough", a security clearance isn't a skill and with that in mind i'm sure if you look over the people who have applied you would find someone with a strong skill set, if not let me know i might know someone. My recommendation is remove the requirement of the clearance, add it as a requirement to be able to get a clearance and then sponsor your strongest candidate.
Other wise your are basically limiting your pool to people coming out of the military or for some reason left a cushy government position.
a sneaky suspicion that it just so manufacturers can put a "FULL HD" sticker on the things.
you nailed it.. when the "Full HD" thing started the monitor manufacturer where putting it on anything with a resolution equal to or greater than 1920x1080 but then they got slapped on the wrist and told they can only put HD on ones that fit the aspect ratio and size.. so if you want to put "full HD" it has to be 1920x1080 not 1920x1200 or even 2650x1600. knowing labels make a difference for marketing and that it is considerably cheaper to make one type of panel than two... well we get the crap we have now..
while this is true - it would seriously screw apple until they could find another supplier that could get production up to suitable levels, this isn't exactly a quick process.
because there are several levels of refinement that has to happen to get sand to the point to make clear/colored glass of the quality people are accustomed to today. It is cheaper to take glass that is already at that purity level and remelt it than it is to refine raw sand and then have to do the same melt & mold process.
go to any and i mean ANY global product producer and tell them you have a way increase their revenue by one percent at nearly zero cost and they will be all ears.
go to them with a product that will cost them money to implement and will lower revenues by one percent, they will ignore you.
I personally like the "Elemr's Glue and Play-Doh Part of a Healthy Diet?" the level of presentation he did, it really shows how the world thinks. It doesn't mater what it is, if you can present it in the right way you can convince people of anything.
I do agree with your statement.. although if memory serves me right Citrix did not predate windows NT with Terminal services for a remote Windows Client multi-user single host environment.
part of me also likes to point out to the people trying to do streaming video over normal VDI + RDP and having issues that what they have is a hammer, their problem may not be a nail. While it's great to have a solution cover as many situations as possible, you should not attempt to make do things that it wasn't designed for.
Is that 925$ an average total life cycle cost? because i have a 2 year old and he is no where near that expensive, even if include the prenatal and birthing hospital bills.
I find it hard to believe that the cost of raising child would be more than my own cost of living for two people.
Minimum wage is $7.25/h that comes down to ~15k a year.. so ~1k a month after taxes.. you know that is more than i was living off of 12 years ago.. but i guess the difference is i lived within my means.. didn't have a lot of shiny things and didn't waste things, but hey maybe that's too much to ask of people.
It amazes me how we push for people to get a higher education but we do not teach kids the basic concepts of planning and money management, and how to live within their means. it will be forever that someone has more than someone else, but there is no reason why, if we all only consume what we need rather than what we want, that everyone can survive just fine.

it's more about shrinking them from the view that they are a component in the phone. the smaller they are the more space in the phone for other items.
And when the Scissors are in clam shell packaging?

For historic value the USSR's stuff was there first.
That is a neat little list, i love the number of missions that where intentional crashes.
not true, Russia put stuff up there.

it's not a law - but a lot of companies have a policy to that tune.
first thing i think about is skill wires from SR

Didn't realize that, thanks.. always fun to learn something

using Hyper-V for the host of the VDI's and using the RemoteFX adapter fixes a lot of the video playback problems..
well my son was born in 2010 i'll have to get back to you in 16 more years to see if i agree with that study.

not so much perl 6 as just perl in general.. but also given what they guy said of his age & what he did i would assume he already knows perl.
