If you don't want the show, then don't air it. Don't cut out the essence of the piece so you can have a 'pretence' of that show.

You apparently didn't read the post you're replying to correctly. What he points is out is that chikushou doesn't litrerally mean 'fucking christ'. It's just an expression used when something doesn't work out the way you wanted... never even nearly as strong as 'fucking christ'. Kuso, could men shit... but used as a cursing word is doesn't get much stronger dan 'damn'. A lot of japanese words regarding emotions have no literal translations (they have to many of those to begin with .. :P ) When translating expressions of emotions from one language to another, you have to adjust, naturally. But changing the habits of the characters is something completely different ! It changes the whole essence of the show. Same goes for when americans remove nudity from dragon ball z episodes for example. All you have left are senseless fighting episodes, since most jokes are sexually tainted...

Now, freedom of speech in America is non-existant... as for the EU, I'm convinced it's a whole let better than in the US. However, I do believe that the main reason that the EU wishes to take the control over the internet away from ICANN is from a) fear for misuse by the states in future and b) a bit of jealousy. How much I may agree with that vision of the EU towards the US I really think it would be a bad idea for them to take over. This for one simply reason : when it comes to organisational skills, the EU and UN are a bunch of fuckups.

Actually , slowing down software development might be considered a good thing ...

It would be nice to see people put more thought in their software design. Heck, might even mean less bugs in Windows... but then again seeing how microsoft develops, it might mean there won't be another version of Windows then ... and that might not be a bad thing either...

And even so, not all development has to slow down, new ideas can still be developed and deployed fairly quickly but they should indicate that they aren't 'safe' .

No they don't , billiards is an entirely different game then pool. There are 3 basic games, billiards, pool & snooker.
    • Billiards , 3 balls no pockets .
    • Pool, 15 balls, all diferently colored (full and half) with numbers and with pockets.
    • Snooker , also 15 balls (though I'm not too sure bout that), half of them are red, the rest colored differently, no numbers, with pockets.

There hasn't been a good movie for quite some time now , except for those that were translated from books to film and weren't f'd up ( and those are few ). There's nothing worse (when movies are concerned) than seeing a good old childhood memory being raped by a hollywood director.
