It's called La Niña. It's happened before, and it will happen again. Nothing new here, just somebody who doesn't know any better panicking and setting other people off. #fakenews
We want to buy up everything in the world because it's... it's... it's GOOD for you! Yeah, that's it, that's the ticket. Totally not because we want to rule the world or anything....
Once again, Apple does whatever the hell it wants to in the OS because it thinks the average user is too stupid to know what they actually want. This mindset has been around since the original Macintosh, and yet the fanatic Apple fanbois keep buying their products and insisting that they are more secure than other devices/OSs. That's why I don't buy Apple products, the headaches and risks are just too high.
I used a Minolta X-9 film camera with a Tokina 50mm f8 RMC Schmidt-Cassegrain lens mounting a solar filter on the front. In between shots I put a box over the lens to shade it to prevent the camera and lens from overheating. I thought it was a pretty obvious thing to do. Apparently it wasn't as obvious others.

Is it just me, or does the part about "...working on a method of improving the security of leaked documents..." sound rather ironic considering that the ones in question were secure documents that shouldn't be released in the first place?
Whatever you do, don't blame the low numbers on the fact that Hollywood is getting lazy and putting out more half-arsed, poorly written movies and TV shows with actors who are just phoning in their performances. Nope, must be PIRATES!
If the strike goes on you can say hello to more reality shows. Since they will have little time to prepare, it will be crappy shows along the line of Jersey Shore.
It's all good and wonderful with these critters rapidly multiplying to eat all the plastic. Then it gets loose in food warehouses and grocery stores, either accidentally due to a population explosion or human caused terrorism, and the entire food supply chain collapses as a good number of food containers are breached and other harmful pests and pathogens get in.
"Doing so would have set a dangerous precedent and would compromise the impartiality of myself and the other press photographers who work at the court. It’s quite foreseeable that one photographer handing over photos would endanger all other photographers at the court as we may be perceived as informers or allies of the police."
That doesn't hold up. Reporters are supposed to report on what happened truthfully, regardless of which side it favors. By refusing to publish and release these photos, he has biased himself and chosen a side. If it would have embarrassed the police and/or the court, would he have felt compelled to withhold it in order to be "impartial"? No, because that is what a reporter does. But that works both ways. He must report on what is favorable for them as well as what hurts them.
Something sounds fishy about this. I have a feeling we aren't getting the whole story out of this. Face it, human beings are by nature energy conserving (read lazy) and it would have been a lot easier to ask first, then get the production order. The press hands over photographs and videos to the police as evidence all the time without any problems. Why is it they are trying to make an example out of him? Or has it been he's been doing his best to make trouble for authorities and this is just a clever excuse? It's probably somewhere in between the two extremes, but how far one way or the other is going to be hard to determine with the limited, one sided information that his post gives out.
Remember, understanding is a three edged sword: your side, their side, and the truth. (with apologies to JMS)
The US constitution (4th am.) would prevent this. So the cops would have taken them using civil forfeiture instead, sold them, and spent the dosh on hookers and blackjack.
I hate the ones that say in an extremely snarky way, "Do a search of the boards, it's been answered "X" times already." You almost always hear those on boards that a bazillion threads and you end up spending days sorting through the dross and still don't find anything relevant to your question (which was why you posted the question in the first place). The problem is that common decency and civility are not common on the net at all. It's too easy to be an asshole when there is no way the other party can come through your screen and kick your ass for it.
How long before cleaver web programmers have the page require the tracking be completed before it sends vital parts of the page to the browser?
The clock is ticking.... (pun intended)
Chinese tested, Big Brother approved! Double-plus good!
Step 1: {F, M}ake plasma ring
Step 2: ?
Step 3: Profit!
Funny how the people who distrust big business the most are the ones screaming about somebody wanting to shine the spotlight on Google.
Perhaps people just need to learn to think for themselves and verify what they read? Nah, that can't be it....
Now this is AT&T's wet dream.

Not everyone who voted Trump is deplorable, but to be fair, everyone who was happy to be voting for Trump is.
Interesting how those who espouse to be all caring and not judgemental are the most judgemental of all.

Is that a typo for 500mm? Refractive designs for 50mm lenses are simple and cheap enough that there isn't much call for a reflective one.
Yep, should have been 500mm. Fingers working faster than the brain again. :)

Um, there are some Commodore Amigas and Apple MacIntoshes outside that would like to have a few words with you...."

Ah, Thinkpol hard at work I see. Miniluv will be around to talk to them real soon.
Big Brother isn't just Government.

So basically he's saying that they are the Russian version of Anonymous? No wonder why the Democrats are so pissed off.
F.U.D. (fear, uncertainty, doubt) isn't just for IBM anymore.

Prepare yourself, suckage is coming.

How is it criminal? It's just an audio pop-up. Get a grip dude, it's a wonderful hack. Y'all just mad that an advertising agency thought of it.
You stopped reading at the end of that paragraph?

"In fact, forget the blackjack!"
