Unfortunatly people tend to make insight based on why Hellgate was bad only due to the numbers, and not do to the reality.
The problem is, that EA got ahold of it. And when they did, its obvious they made some demands... The world design, the story direction, the gameplay direction, and the voice direction all seemed to be put together by different isolated groups of people who had their own idea about the game. As in, it lacked cohesion. The concept comic that came with the special edition was sooo much better than what the game turned out to be. That, and the "towns" were layered with EA game advertisements.
Which is better, someone who can change their mind about policies, for better or for worse... Or someone who will ride their sinking ship down to the bottoms of the deepest depths, while the country falls apart around them, and make no attempts at righting a wrong.

There needs to be a general counteroffer: "To all Shareholders of EA: Quick, dump your stock! sell it as cheap as you possibly can, to other game companies not associated with EA!"
Sooooo Apple's multitudes of monopolies(hint: try to install the Apple OS on a non apple product, watch them try to sue you.) is just fine until they too are convicted of a monopoly?

A) produce formulaic Sports games, which requires no innovation
B) Buy/good/ companies and hump their golden camel until its tarnished with shame and sadness
C) Produce crappy games.

The RIAA is getting desperate, what with artists starting cut them out of the picture much like Smashing Pumpkins and Radio Head are doing: these two bands have released their music from a website, and atleast with Radiohead pretty much just ask you to pay what your concience feels like paying: 0 is an option.
The answer to the middle one: Two! on average. In the right circumstances in both cases, you can have 8 people playing. Not simo, mind you.
In the end though, the Great Console Gods are trying to find ways to make multiplayer on consoles more expensive. Rockband comes to mind. And a past example is the gamecube attachment you needed to play FF:Crystal Chronicles, plus 4 GBAs.

I have no doubt that Mac's hardware cant run most games on the market, considering that all of the hardware - or close to it- is the same as what you can put in a PC. I do doubt that kiddies who know nothing about computers would go for a PC instead of a Console, which only requires the most rudimentary knowledge to use. Also I doubt the knowledge of the User has anything to do with the game system itself.
The problem With the Apple and Games Debate lies in two places. First, the fact that Apple's attitude is not Gamer friendly - despite the fan base who insists its so.
Second, the fact that a Gamer can build his gaming platform for abouts 500 dollars. Thats the same price as a PS3, yet more useful. If you include the 200 dollars for a GOOD monitor, versus the 500 dollars for a Good TV, its much cheaper or on par than the Next Gen consols. Its not the top of the line, smoking down the road PC, but it will run most games. In the mean time, A new apple costs 2000 dollars. As far as to replacing individual parts in an Apple? I've been told two sides to this. One half of the Apple Fan base insists that its as easy to do with a PC - however mysteriously no one assembles their own Apple Computer through parts bought off of New Egg. The other half insists that Its nearly impossible to upgrade your Mac without sending it in.
As for me, I'm no windows fan. Vista has proven to be a big joke. However until someone comes out with am OS that runs on the hardware I have that has real games(read:Not minesweeper) developed for it, I'm sticking to Windows.

There are two things about this to be considered.
A) If the guards were trained to watch for C4, they would know that this in fact was not it.
B) If they weren't trained to watch for C4, they would not take note of it.
You're depending too much on both competency and incompetency of the guards. Most likely her attitude set them off (She didnt reply!) or that was made up after they realized they had made a terrible mistake.
For the record, it's actually not that hard to produce and record your own CDs. I know someone who runs an operation out of his garage for local music types. I'd link to his website but I do not know the rules for advertising off hand...
