I thought that catalysts "catalyze" chemical reactions and are not used up because the are not reactants. Been a long time since I've studied chemistry though.:D
I agree. I think I will start OWSPC - One Wooden Spade Per Child. It's a project that I will start in a poor country to provide wooden spades to rich kids in industrialized nations.
Just curious. Does suspend and hibernate work on that laptop once the proprietary graphics driver is installed? Perhaps I will try the latest ubuntu if it does.
Maybe he can make BOINC easy to install on a linux system. Seems like you have to read docs to get "folding" or "seti" running now - many wont do that.
don't forget: shows it to a guy who supposedly does understand physics and electronics. The smart prof. says "it's real" and struggles to understand it. My BS detector is going crazy.
If linux devs had only a small number of hardware devices (and specs) to develop their software for I think Linux would "just work" and be very mac like in that respect. Consider the vast number of choices people have when it comes to hardware. Amazes me that linux will work with as many different hardware setups as it does.
when I saw the pic of the "transparent" fish I thought of your catfish which I've seen many times in tropical fish stores. So why not spend 1.69 and buy a few and avoid the lengthy process of breeding your own? Anyone?
>>That is, the fraction of the energy you can remove is exactly equal to the fraction of the temperature you can remove.
I struggle with these concepts sometimes. This I think, is an excellent explantation. Even I can understand it. Thanks.
Iodine sublimates at standard pressure I think. Heat it and it turns into a purple gas and will crtstalize on a cool surface.
I thought tentacles was a greek god. Ever hear of popsicles - the greek god of frozen confections?
now that's funny

lol - we might be related :D
I think a cooling system using vaporization would most likely be a closed system.

I was browsing for smalltalk info and found this: http://www.cincomsmalltalk.com/userblogs/cincom/blogView?content=successes

the "it's real" part. It's a real what? A real discovery of some sort?
I'm skeptical that the prof. really said "But I saw it. It's real. Now I'm just trying to figure it out." If he did he's a jackass.

Thank you Lunar_Lamp. Knew there had to be a reason.

totally forgot about this one. Brings back memories. I'm getting old. :)

perhaps the original message can be painstakingly reassembled later :|
Bz-flag is the coolest. Especially the leagues. Great game. Hard to master though.
now that's funny :)
You're right. No need to even read the article. Linux will be whatever someone, be it individual or corp., decides to make it.
maybe you could just ask the server to set a cookie on your computer ;)
