Sometimes proprietary code is the result of lots of hard work which gives you a competitive advantage. When you have a good product sometimes your competitors will go to great lengths to copy your product. Not necessarily true in this case however.
You're right, the moko name is bad. It would be nice, when considering names for a product that could potentially be sold to none english speaking people, to run the phonetic spelling through a bad name checker of some sort. I always thought that Chevy's Nova (no va) was a nice one for spanish speaking people ; )

Don't know about the rest of the suite but I think TextMaker is an excellent product. I don't see anything in TFA about powerpoint files, a database, or programming, so it's definitely not a replacement for the entire productivity suites mentioned in TFA.
