What are you doing to get a $65 home phone bill. I pay $6.50 for my home, but I only have it for DSL. To get unlimited phone service is less than $20 a month. Cancel all the other crap you have on your phone and get a cell.
Actually you just need ID to buy a ticket but an ID is needed for each ticket you buy on Amtrak which is the big train network in the US. I often buy tickets for other family members but we did have a problem when I had 2 people with me who did not have ID. They would only sell me one ticket.
Well many SUV's get better mpg's than mini vans. A Toyota Highlander gets 27 mpg freeway and holds 7. It gets better mpg than a chevy venture gets 26. But if you are saying that all SUV's are Suburbans or Durangos and get 17 mpg then you are lumping a large group of cars together. I have a dodge 250 van 7 passanger and only get 13 mpg but no one seems to care about those. hell even my Nissan Altima only gets about 25 mpg and its a small car
The government should place a whight tax or some other kind of tax on cars. I would not mind paying 3-5k more for a large car if the money was then spent on reserch into new related tech.
They do this to make sure that the casheer filled out the check correctly. When I worked in retal we had to do a t with 4 pieces of info on it. If it was not filled out correctly, the check would not be paid by our check clearing house, but they would still cash it and keep the money. If the t is filled out correct and the check is actually a bad check then the clearing house would still pay us. BTW I worked at ComputerCity (now part of CompUSA)
I am looking for a new SUV for my family, one that seats 7 because my weife does not want a mini van. In looking around my options i see ford with its 19 mpg and then there is hondas new pilot( and acura MDX same car 20k more) it gets 24 mpg and is a nice car, it starts at 26k with 4wd. Now I dont care about 4wd, I had a Honda CRV 4wd and it never touched dirt. But when I look at different car companies I see that Honda is one of the few trying to make more fuel efficient cars.
My sister in law is looking for a house or condo in southern CA Orange county. I did a search on Realtor.com for her and the ceeep condos, ie 600sq ft cost about $120k. A small 2 bedroom house in a place where you will not hear gunshots regullary at night and the police cars cost into the 180s for a 1000 sqft house. Myself I live in San Marcos (a suburb of San Diego) and my house is worth about $340k now. I rember looking at houses lat year in Jacksonville Flordia, for $200k you could get a 4000 sq foot house on a 1/2 acre new. and older houses that were 2000 sg ft were around 120k. A new house in san diego has a big lot if it has more that 5000 sq feet. that barly enough room for the hose and garage.
I would love to move to somewhere where houses were cheeper, with my equity in my crrent place i could buy a house with cash.
Ok, so If you have a BS in CS then you should be making over $40k. So how is it that you have such high internest on your credit cards? I have cards that have a rate of 8%, thats less than the rate on my first car I bought. My house is at about 6.5% and student loans are at around 5% Having a 20% interest rate implies that you have verry bad credit, which you likely got from mis managing your money, but it you have no ballances then you have obvously made some good choices. Oh, and I just looked at the rate on my home depot card its 21%, So I paid half of my 3k ballance this month, and will pay the rest next month, dot use store credit cards, get a citibank or somting like that.
You should dump rogue wave. My company has been using tools, threads and thir stl. They have changes their licenceing so that rather than paying about 5k we now pay 50k because we distribute the binaries to customers. We are looking to dump them infavor of standard ms stuff because it will save us a ton.

Also, I have read the california DMV rules and they seem to be a speed trap, read that section.
I got one of these tickets, they swear that you can run the light by up to 3 seconds and not get a ticket. It was yellow when I entered yet they still sent me a ticket. I fought it, and the judge tossed it out. It really is a scam run by the government.
I live in San Marcos and we have 4 differnet bins 1 big trash 1, and 1 for paper, 1 for glass, and 1 for recyclable plastic(only 2liter soda bottles, even though mike cartosn say recyclable) 2 of the 3 bins are broken, and I have called our trashpickup place, 3 times, and sent 6 emails asking for newones but they wont give them to me, so I cant recycle. Oh and when I was a kid we did kept our stuff seperate because once a month we would take it to the recycling place and they would pay us for the stuff. It usually came out to about $20 a month (we also picked up the paper of a few neighboors.) and my brother and I got to keep the money. Now we pay more for the privlage of having 4 different trucks come around each week, and they keep the profit from recycling. This does not seem fair to me, which is another reason that I dont put stuff out to recycle.
This is what my wife wants to do aswell, or get a mac, just somthign that I wont be constantly upgrading. I have one computer that I have nto chnaged since I built it a pII 233, thats for her and it will always work, But then she starts writing a paper on my computer because its faster, and complains when it crashes. (I have the video overclocked, but it only crashes when word is open.)
She does not want me to upgrade her box, or buy her a new one because I will upgrade it.
Wow in San diego our frys add has a duron 1 gig with a ECS motherbordy for $89. In Orange county my dad got a 1.2 duron and MB for $99 at frys. Oh, and 512 mb of ram was 109.
In the US there is somting similar called LOJACK. BAsically if you report your call stolen they turn the device on remotely, and it sends a location signal to the Police. They claim about a 95% recovery rate within 24 hours of you reporting your car stolen. It costs about $1000 (thats what the dealer wanted to sell me it for when I bought my Accord)
You get free tuition if you live in sate? or did you just get a good aid package? I went to University of Califronia San Diego and when I graduated I owed about $24,000 plus what ever my parrents owe. Or are you just talking about the tuition itself, and not housing and books? Tuition was about 5k per year.
In my old house, I canceled my regular phone and got a cell. My DSL still worked fine. I spoke with my DSL company(Telocity) before canceling it and they said that it did not matter. You do need a phone number to sign up for dsl though. When I moved I did not want to sign up for a phone but I needed it to get dsl

I am looking for a new SUV for my family, one that seats 7 because my weife does not want a mini van.
