Wow, whatever your job is I want it. I don't like spending $12 on a CD, yet you have no problem droping up to $5 on one song. So if you like 3 songs on a CD you just paid more than it would cost to buy the CD.
It seems to me that $1.00 is too much per track, most CD's have 12-15 tracks, so you will end up paying as much for the whole album (if you liked all the songs.) At.25 I would buy any song I herd and liked, at.50 it starts to get too high, and I would buy verry few songs. at.25 I would buy much more songs, and spend more money total on music than at 50 cents. At $14 for a song(I will not pay more thatn that for a CD) I buy verry few CD's, none, this year, cant think of any that I have bought for a longtime(except my 12 for the cost of 1 from BMG, but even that has been over a year) I only get CD's now for birthdays or Christmas. I copy all my CD's that I have to my computer then make a few disks for my car. I dont ever look at the real CD, except when I open it, I would prefer to buy by the track, at.25 I would buy hundreds of tracks a year, at the current cost of about $1(when on a cd) I buy atmost 2 CD's per year.
oh, and no I dont download them and violate artists copyright. I mostly listen to my old CD's and NPR.
I have telocity (now directv dsl) and my house is 17k feet from the co. I did the online address stuff for both them, sprint, and speakeasy, they all said it was at 17k feet and could not do it. I called all of them, and telocity was the only one that said they could do it. It works well, and my speed is fast enough for me,I dont know exact download numbers, but call them they may hook you up. I am in the San Diego area (San Marcos)
The blocking of port 80 is only incoming, so if they start blocking after you get it, then you will still propigate the worm. I look at my server logs and at one point most of my worm hits wer coming from rr.com or home.com. So blocking after the fact is useless.
Ebay seems to require javascript to view pictures of the items. I use mozilla and have java and a bunch of stuff disabled. So when I go here I use IE. Salon dosent work too well wlith javascript off either, I dont see the title bar with all the links.
The part that no one hase mentioned yet is the ability to click on an add and choose 'ignore all photos from thise server' gets rid of most adds. I wish they would do this with flash, as most flash is now adds, but there are some sights that use it legetimately.
True but in most places licencing is just buying from a gun store where they keep reciepts on paper in a back room, so if somthing bad happens with the gun and they find it they can track what store had the gun, ask them and the store will pull out the paper saying that it was sold to so and so, but you dont go into a database which can be checked and say who owns a gun.
Danile was an example of bad parrents. The dad noticed that house alarm was going off in the middle of the night, so he turned it off. The mom comes home and finds a door to the house open and does nothing. The girl was not noticed missing until the next morning. Many hours later. She was likely already dead, but they would have been able to find her body faster. So what this case tells us is that just because you live in an expensive house, you still need to be a good parrent and check on your kids when your house alarm goes off, otherwise what good is having the alarm?
But my understanding of the gun lawsuits is that they are not sueing because guns kill people but that the manufacturers are selling the guns through illegal channels (black market) and that they are targeting low income, high crime areas where the drug dealers hang out.
So if access is supported does this also mean that VB will now run under linux? Whithout VB I would say that Access is not working properly because much of the useful functionality is creating the front end for you access database. So now we can get people who took a 1 week class claiming to be expert windows and linux programmers?

In California we have a comunity property law. Basically everything belongs to both of you. Things you own before you are married can stay your own, with the proper help of a lawyer. So if you wife wants to screw you she can get new credit cards that you dont know about, rack them up and leve you with the bill. Somthing simmilar happened to me. My wife was in the hospital both before we were married and after. She did not have insurance either time(we were both in school) She just tossed out the bills, then the collection notices, no I dont open her mail. After they get tired of sending bills to her, they put delinquent(sp?) collection items on my credit report. When I went to buy a house I could not because of these items that I never new about. I soke with a lawyer and I was told of the CA laws so I was screwed. I had no idea that the bills even existed, never got a bill from the hospital, but I was some how supose to have known to send in more money than I made in a year!!
Back to being on topic, yes your wife can install stuff on "your" computer because its also her computer.
For long distance you should check out what costco (was Price Club) provides to members. They do it thorugh a comapnay Called TTI national I think. Regular costco members get 6.5 cents per min with no monthy fee, and your are billed in 6 second increments. exceutive members( costs $100, instead of $45) get 5.5 cents per min. It seems to be a really good deal. I called two long distance carriers to compare prices and they were somthign like 19cents a min for longdistance if you dont sign up and have a monthy fee. I am just a satisfied customer. But check it out for your longdistance.
This is just not ture of direct X backward compatibility. I had dx 7 installed on my game computer, it mostly had childrens games for my daughter, Jumpstart kindergarden, Elmo somthing, Freddy fish. I installed dx 8 for a game for myself and some of her games stoped working. I had to buy a new box for her games to run on. Then we got into the problm where I bought a 60 gig hd and the games said I did not have enough space to install them. I had to partition the disk to get them to install.
In the US, well atleast California no concideration needs to change hands when giving away cars to family. IE I gave my brother and my wifes uncle cars in the last year, because they are family I can give them the cars and they do not have to pay tax on the car, but If I sold it to them they would have to pay tax(about 8%). I know that I can give them up to $10,000 a year but no one seems to mind(ie the DMV) that the car was worth more than 10k. Why do you have to sell your car for $1 in Canada?
They are not talking about that kind of blocking. The state is going to provide isp's with a list of web addresses that must be blocked. its not the same as Net Nanny or whatever blocking program they are using. They are saying that PA residents should never be able to see child porn that is at one of the websites on the list.
My dad puts lots of money away. he had 18 months off between his last job and the one he has now. He was not fired, he just got tired of the 2hr drive so he gave notice. He did not even start looking for work for almost 9 months, but my parrents have had their house for 20 years and pay like 600 because they bought it for 60, but did some remodeling. Both of their cars are atleast 10 years old, so no car payment. A 350 dollar payment is alot, I am only paying 220 (for 3 years) on my nissan Altima ($22k paid) Its just a matter of saving your money and not wasting it. I drove a 84 mustang before so I could save for a big down payment. Anyone who is paying that much should have lots of money saved. My wife is looking at a BMW, with our down it will less than 300 a month.
This is not ture for eveyione. My company uses Amex and I was denied the card because of some incorrect info on my credit report. So you still have to go through the credit check, so if you couldnt get a card by yourself you cant get a company card either.
where I live San Diego this is true. I bought a house with a swimming pool and wanted to change my fence. It truns out that I can lower my fnece but If someone kills themself or gets hurt and my external fence is less than 6 feet high then I am liable(sp?) for their death/injury. So I fence to a 4 foot rought iron So I could see my pool from the house and then I had to make my gate to the back yard 6 feet high. It was a real pain.
who ever moderated this as off topic is wrong. He iscommenting on a story a few days ago where some MIT students hacked apart a bear and put a switch inside of it. Someone needs to read/. more
According to your links the paragraph below states that an owner of the copyright can choose statutory damages and get a min of 750 from any person who is involved, you are disproving your own claim that a user wont pay a fine for infringing
(c) Statutory Damages. - (1) Except as provided by clause (2) of this subsection, the copyright owner may elect, at any time before final judgment is rendered, to recover, instead of actual damages and profits, an award of statutory damages for all infringements involved in the action, with respect to any one work, for which any one infringer is liable individually, or for which any two or more infringers are liable jointly and severally, in a sum of not less than $750 or more than $30,000 as the court considers just. For the purposes of this subsection, all the parts of a compilation or derivative work constitute one work.

I did this when i was young too, until someone came by and stole my friends bike.

come on this was funny. Its a play on words, it should not be modded down
