Um- you don't be an idiot. I was discussing how issues are framed.
Perception in politics is often more important than reality.
If you are so blindly unaware of how perception matters, and need to call people idiots, you are an example of the type of people that are easily led by politicians. Thank you for proving my point.

Isn't there a statistic about how 99% of men consider themselves to be "above average drivers?"
I am going to tell you a secret: Everyone thinks they are an excellent driver Everyone... That guy who ran the red light and almost nailed you today- he thinks he is an excellent driver. That woman on the Cell who almost rear ended you and the woman on the cell who drifted out of her lane and almost hit you: They both consider themselves excellent drivers.
I would guess that being a good driver is more about attentiveness than skill. I have plowed snow for many winters (find me another part time job where you sit in your truck smoking cigs, listening to music, and make $50 an hour and I'll take it) and though I know how to get out of a skid on ice etc etc with no ABS, sometimes after working all day at my day job, and being out at my second job at 3am, I am not sharp, I don't pay the best attention etc. Do my technical skills make me an excellent driver, or am I an awful driver because I drive my truck while tired?
I'm an excellent driver- Gotta Watch Wapner, Gotta Watch Wapner.

Yes, but it shows how politics and technology come together-
Whatever your opinions on the wiretapping- The way many are responding negatively, will lead to MORE wiretapping- Allow me to explain....
This will be framed (rightly or wrongly) by Republicans as eavesdropping on known terrorists. The Democrats (rightly or wrongly) will come out against it and be seen as anti-security.
This will lead to more Republicans winning in 06 and 08. Whatever your political bent is, the national security issue (for whatever reason)(I'm trying to stay nonpolitical) is a loser for Democrats. (Seriously, remove your own politics and views, and just look at it as an analyst.)
The strategy for Dems to stop the wiretapping would be to act like it is a great thing, then get voted into a majority, and then stop the wiretapping.

I do.. I seem to remember 5 or 6 years ago reading that Blockbuster was planning on testing (in CA) a system where you could "rent movies" like the pay per view system, and have vcr type controls. I thought that was amazing then. And I now have something similar. My digital cable has several hundred movies that I can watch, with vcr controls, at my convenience. I deal with Word files from lots of different people; and hardly any of them know how to use the "tools" it offers; I'd say less than 5% ever use anything that's not on the formatting bar (which is virtually identical to the formatting bar on dozens of other word processors). And government workers aren't given a choice of which software to use anyway. Of course some do have specialised apps, these can be left alone and eventually converted (as they would have to be the next MS upgrade anyway).
As a technical writer, I would agree wholeheartedly. Sometimes (often) when we design a document, clients request it in word, because if we use a different program (InDesign, Captivate, whatever) they don't have the software to make updates. I would much prefer InDesign for graphic heavy docs (Word doesn't handle vector graphics... I still can't believe that) People don't understand that word is not a publishing program!
I use a ton of Field Codes and Styles in Word. I have, by request of a client, created a 200 page parts catalog in word that was one giant table...
The worst experiences I have had were with Word docs designed with a ton of Field codes and styles, as when a third party updates them they ALWAYS get screwed up. That is why I prefer a program like Framemaker where I can set up a template, and have one person control the template and others only able to make content changes.
The main problem with word (in my opinion) is that people use it for things it isn't, and wasn't ever intended for...

He said the big challenge is that games have become so complex, that there are no casual gamers. That the world has been divided into two types of people: those who play games, and those who don't play games.
I see his point- I haven't played a video game in years, aside from ones that can be learned in 5 minutes. I just don't have the time to spend hours every day attaining levels and learning complex controls and commands.
