    "Portage" is Gentoo's package management system. He was using it to refer to all package management systems in general, much in the same way some people use "Kleenex" to refer to all facial tissue products.

    It's not "just another p2p", it's a p2p specifically for distributing newsfeeds. Bittorrent doesn't really work to well for that because it doesn't have the infrastructure and downloading the real feed would be easier than downloading the torrent first. This software bypasses any user interaction and grabs it off its established network.

    A year or two ago on ThinkGeek I saw an awesome watch they had for about $400. It's not there anymore but I think this is it. It has a holographic image of the world floating under a bubble, and it turns (with day/night effects) to show the time.

    My friend's house burned down, and most of his three thousand CDs had major smoke damage. They were unlistenable. Estimate fifteen dollars per CD.

    One feature which I think is underappreciated is the networking ability.
    Ohhh yes. This is amazingly convenient because all of the PVRs or computers connected to the server have all the same settings and videos. If I'm in the middle of a show and someone wants to use that TV or computer, I can go to any computer in the house and just resume where I left off.

    The font tag is deprecated. You should be using a span or div that refrences a Cascading Style Sheet stored in a seperate file and imported in the head.
