Yea. If you print less than 400 pages before the printer breaks, then you're better off with HP. But personally, I print about 400 pages in two weeks. If it's breakin' that fast, I AM getting a refund.

If you have $1000 to spend on a phone, it might be better than a digital camera. But then again, if you have $1000 to spend on a phone, you probably have enough money for a top of the line camera, which will most likely still be better than your phone.

No, the local governments grant the ISPs a monopoly usually, so they should be held to the same standards as a government service would be. I dunno where you live, but where I am, we have one choice for broadband and one choice only. And lemme tell ya, it sucks. I recently discovered they charge an extra $60 a month for the EXACT same service, just without the 'you are not allowed to run a server' clause in the TOS. But yea, unless I want dial-up, that's my only option.

Took me a while to get good at Dvorak, but if you switch around the keycaps, it's a LOT easier. I tried learning it before but couldn't until I did that. IMO, the best way to learn is to look. But anyways, I'm surviving just fine without using QWERTY. I do switch every computer I use over to Dvorak first. Only takes about half a minute to set up keyboard shortcuts so you can switch back and forth. Hell, even at school where they have control panel locked, I just go into gpedit, unlock it, and set up the hotkeys. It's really not that much of a problem for me. As for hotkeys...I've re-learned copy/paste, and that's all I really use.

Blocking sites that they deem bad sources simply shows that the teachers are too lazy to actually check the work.

Though it depends on how you define 'comparable'...for example, a 2GHz Intel is gonna cost about twice as much as a 2GHz AMD, though the specs will appear the same. But maybe apple is cheaper on the very high-end stuff, I dunno. But they don't have anything low-end. I know someone older who's looking into finally buying his first computer. His son is trying to talk him into getting a mac, because that's what he has so they can share the software, but he's currently leaning towards a Dell simply because the cheapest mac he could find was around $800 without any monitor, keyboard, or other peripherals. The dell is $400 with a 21" LCD widescreen monitor and printer. The specs leave a bit to be desired, running vista at only 512MB RAM, but how much do you really need for a browser and text editor (which is still all most people use.
