Snes and Genesis games will be full speed, and playstation emulation is possible i think (ridge racer has been successfully emulation on an overclocked GP32, ok, at 12fps, but that was with alot less ram)

i dont really think that the games are getting worse (admittidly not played the most recent one, but i have played all from 1st one to chronicles) i think that the first game rode the wave of OMFG 3D! and the series has not moved with the times. Gamers now, rightly so, expect more than baisically tomb raider one prettified.
Hellgate london looks to be the spiritual successor to diable anyway, and has alot of the same staff working for it

its easier said than done mind, i know i wanted Resident Evil 4 on release, and would have paid anything up to £40 for it.
they went straight from 2.1 to 5.1, they didnt even go to 2.2, 2.3, or 2.4, never mind 3.0, 4.0 or 5.0...
however much this game is rated 18/mature kids will end up playing it, because some parents just don't care...
