This article is such complete FUD. All new formats are slightly expensive and Phillips developed a method of pressing the disc in one 1.1mm polycarbonate layer, as opposed to two.6mm polycarbonate layers like DVDs, that offset the cost of using the Durabis 2 material, (which doesn't scratch, even from steel wool).
As a testament to the viability of this browser, I have had my work computer on, with 15+ tabs open, for over 1.5 weeks now... still no debilitating memory leaks....
But that doesn't erase the fact that Americans owe France their freedom, most of their constitution, and a pretty statue.
There is a slight difference between supplying moral support and helping provide those who provide guns to the people who are actually fighting... and storming the beach head. The French support we enjoyed during the revolution was critical. It was not, however, in any way comparable to the support they enjoyed during WW2.
Yay! So you decide to derride people for being bigots with sexuality, and end up being racist.:rolls eyes:
Great job there with the sweeping generalizations and comical caricatures of "the United States of America". I need to make a php script that posts comments on slashdot...
You completely avoided the point of any game: to be fun and challenging. You basically said that you can prevent gold farmers by making the game not challenging... well duh. I'm glad you're not a game designer.
I just had an doctors appointment at Providence in Portland a week ago... now I'm wondering how secure my data really is... mine wasn't stolen, as my appointment was after the 31st, but it makes me think twice...
One reference to a company running screaming to the government to help it cover it's ass, which has an actual basis in fact (Microsoft willing the government to prevent revelations of Windows security holes on the grounds of National Security) is an attack on Bush and/or Republicans and/or the intelligence community and/or Congress? You hyper-sensitive twit!
No, it was two references to trying to hide behind an al queda defense and a "you betcha" reference. You can't seriously think that I was the one making this a political argument.
You either misunderstand on purpose or not, but as you've suddenly skewed into the political arena at the 12th word of that sentence, I suggest you re-read the subject line and consider how you're under that blanket, too.
No no no, you don't get to tell me I "misunderstand" because I called you on your veiled political swipes that had NOTHING to do with the discussion.
Honestly we can't blame this tactic on Microsoft, though they have been highly visible in this regard, due to their high volume of security flaws. It's almost as bad as a bunch of automaker executives running away from a flaming car and blaming it on Ralph Nader.
I'm pretty sure that metaphore is bad enough to make baby Jesus cry. I have absolutely no clue how a software company taking longer than 3 months to patch code that could have tens of millions of lines is like automakers blaming a car explosion on ralph nader because he's al queda....
I understand that you want to try and make everything a political argument about how much America and/or Bush and/or Republicans and/or the intelligence community and/or Congress sucks, but seriously... a software patch?
So essentially what you're saying, is that as long as someone else in the world has it worse off, we should be grinning as our rights are stripped from us... Sounds like a good argument to me.
No, essentially what I'm saying is that if you want to make life under the US government better, give yourself credibility by not comparing it to a place like China. Im all for improving the government. Heck, I'm Libertarian, I don't like the way either party run things. But using hyperbole is not the way to convince others to help you change things for the better.
What european country has less freedom than the USA? I mean, i'm spanish, and i can't bear guns so easily as you cowboys but you know that this point very is arguable as a freedom, and we always can get a license.
I didn't necessarilly mean less, I meant not the same -- hence my choice of words... "not the same".
For example, here in the US, in ANY court case, the burden of proof is on the prosecution. In many europeon countries, this varies with the type of court case. Libel cases, for instance, have the burden of proof placed on the defendent in Brittan.
Or you could be moderately intelligent and undersand the point he's making. EVERY civilized country reduces freedom, rather than simply being unable to enforce granting all, for the sake of whatever the fuck you define 'civility'.
But to say that they are all the same because of this is like meeting a rude person than thinking the every other person who also has a nose must also be rude. Everyone has noses... noses don't make us more civil. Every government has rules... those rules don't make them oppressive.
Right on, brother. We only approve of America's oppressive style of government!
Go ahead, have a laugh and be "hip" by taking a jab at the "corrupt" and "vile" American government. Just don't come complaining when you realize that you go other places in the world, even other Europeon countries, and don't enjoy the same freedoms.
I somehow doubt that Rupert Murdoch smiled with relish as he personally squashed the little guys humbly trying to share videos with each other. Next time, try not to let your bias show.
A company, (like for instance Amazon), may make money only through internet sales. However, let's say Amazon carried a book which detailed the human rights violations of China. China goes up to their DNS servers and hijacks the domain for 14% of the worlds population.
The issue isn't letting the market decide, it's preserving the market at all.
This is my chance! Bad news for MicroSoft! All I have to do is act giddy, (and pretend that I don't care about the larger implications of the broken patent system), and I'll be modded up! w00t!
And now, for my sarcastic insolence, I'll be modded down.:(

I wish I had mod points to spend on you. +1 Underrated.

They proceeded to go into a lot of technical info that I don't understand.
Hmmmm... somehow his X360 > PS3 claims don't hold much water...

Does $30 million seem a little low to anyone else? I'm sure they leveraged more than $30 million dollars by illegally bundling the software...
But think about this:
A company, (like for instance Amazon), may make money only through internet sales. However, let's say Amazon carried a book which detailed the human rights violations of China. China goes up to their DNS servers and hijacks the domain for 14% of the worlds population.

Does anyone else wondering why this is filed under Your Rights Online?
Opera doesn't really use plug-ins, it's just scriptable... _>

Maybe they'll cancel each other out?
Five Brazillion Dollars
You know, with the current conversion rate, 5 brazilian dollars is only 2.22916 USD....
their freedom songs are going to kick arse.
Domo argigato Mr. Robato......
Just practicing our soon to be National Anthem of Humanity(TM).
I for one welcome our new robotic overlords.
