Today the NSA filed a anti trust suite againt Google inc
When a legal representative of the NSA was questioned about the case he replied, "Our case is based on Googles practice of gathering data in direct competition to the NSA, in such a manner that it's impossible for us to compete".
Our reporter was suddenly arrested before he could question Google on the matter, based on child sex porn bookmarks handed over to legal authorities by google.
Ive been using IBM server cases from a IBM repair shop. Most IBM repair shops have heaps of partially/fully gutted cases, they will happily give you one for a few nickel and dimes or in my case I got 3 of them for nothing.
The things are built like sherman tanks and everything is easy to replace or move or modify.
The reason mobile phone makers (hardware makers in general are the same), dont like selling products with less features at a lower per unit price are two fold.
1. harder for sales people to sell a product with the moto "hai its got less features"
2. Companies don't like reducing the per unit average cost of phones, because this also means you reduce your gross income.
Say I sell 200 full feature telephones @ $150 per unit, to get the same return on a cheap phone at $25 per unit means I have to sell 7X more phones to get the same gross(no not a math error read on).
Ok you say but you going to sell more phones, true but not 7X more and the cost of selling phones, doesnt vary that much per unit, so my costs are the same but I have a lower per unit price so my margins are even lower.
So unless you can think of a way of fixing the above problem were all stuck with this mess.
Welcome to Microsoft "you code we take" shared source competition.
You know the program, we hand over some pathetic prize and then we get a billion dollar idea that you can never claim ownership of, thanks to our geat and wonderous butt shafting license called "shared source".
Thank you for turning up now everyone bend over and start coding,
1. 45 minutes of advertising before the main feature (I want my 45 minutes back because you didnt pay for my time)
2. Cant watch any movies before 1pm because you get mom's and dad's and their screaming ankle biters to kill any punch lines.
3. you can't kill the idiot who is sitting next to you.
4. if you turn up late to compensate for number 1. you get to sit with the big screen 3 feet from you nose.
5. People with mobiles phone, dare I say any more.
6. teenagers who think its cool to scream out right in the middle of the action.
7. seats that smell like wet carpet.
8. having a movie projector thats totally stuffed ie only one channel for sound and being told thats perfectly ok to sell you a defective service and your not getting any money back.
9. seats that are as comfortable as a concrete bench.
10. finding the only showing of the movie you want is at 6am and 11pm.
What is happening isn't new, when I was at college one kid would get a copy of a tape and we would use it as a master and by the end of the week everyone had a copy of the tape .
The same thing is happening now just with a different media format.
Personally I usually dont buy brand name CD's I prefer to go to watch some unknown artist and buy a CD of them. In many cases I get the CD signed and they are just home brew coppies in many cases with a printed cover, that one of there mates chucked together, some even dont have a printed cover.
Also you have to throw Podcasting into the mix, there is a finite time people have to listen to things and that incudes music, makes me wonder if the dropping sales isnt due to piracy but that people are listening to podcasts (like me) not music as much so they dont buy as many cd's or even mp3's in the case of iTunes.
1 Find gulible teenage band make them sign dodgy contract 2 Put music on 2c CD's 3 call everyone a theif before you sell the product for $20+ 4 profit!!
English does have what can be defined as a classical structure. Its a shame to see it often not taught, or left completely of the english syllabus, in most forms of what we call education.
If we were to start a grammer tester, for the FOSS community, the best starting point is to do simple tests. The first thing that comes to mind is a test for, two words that are exactly the same in the same sentence.
Its not hard but its a start, and yes we wont find an all in one auto_magic alorithm to correct our grammer, so lets start with the simple stuff and see were it leads us.
Often in this age of high technology, the best tool is a rock.
I think were all aiming too high right now, how about we take baby steps first, for the simple things and work our way up.

After a bit of thought I wondered why they would need such alot of energy to be released in a short period, then it hit me, they need it for a short pulse energy weapon. Looks like the o'l Star Wars program is still ticking away 20 years later.
