Actually, if you understand what makes hackers, hackers... Then the threat of 'senior' staff is as follows. Most hackers, narcissist or not, put all of their effort in to one facet. They may be at the top for a few years but as soon as technology moves on so does their interest. They are stuck in the field they started in. It's that kind of commitment that drives a hacker in the first place, it's the same commitment that keeps them from moving to different fields.
I can see it now, the war finally winde up in the basement of a 'nuked' building and two groupls of stinky dirty people wark away frantically trying to hack the opponents computer connected by a single ethernet cable. They hurl insults at one another and chide and talk sepremecy of morals and ethics until all the sudden one of them trips on the cable and pulls it from the jack on the back of the computer. It's there they all freeze. Completely confused and not knowing what to do. And they stay there inanimate soiling themselves and pissing down their legs until they starve to death.
Long story short? It's funny how addicted people have come to abstraction when it's so easy to wield a pair of wirecutters.
No, principles can be overridden with ego. Real hackers are about the science. Hackers that are out to damaage things are about their egos. That's actually what mades hiring them fruitless. Once they get bored with the 'I work ops for the FBI' or whatever, they'll move on to, 'I'm a double agent' so and so forth etc...That's why instead of building things they find it much easier and gets them more attention to break things. No, they aren't good bets.
Just look at those ads on the right of your 'gmail' account. Stuff like, "Other women hate her." and "Language professors hate him." Really? That's marketing prowess? Like I'm gonnuh click on any of that shit. I don't read from the Huff, by the way.
I think the information your should be looking at storing are what blood type, what you taste like, what other foods go well with you. Posterity is a word best used for people who care about the future of others. This doesn't exist at this time.
Should have been modded funny u know. I mean. I used to work for a paper company in those days and we would have scads of those things. They were the 1.44 flops. I'd take em home, flip the tab and rip the stickers of of them. Never ran out of disks heheeh.
In a world where people are only comforted by thinking they understand how the universe works I'm totally fascinated by the unexplainable. It boggles my mind that people couldn't believe in 'invisible' mass. Furthermore, I look forward to what organisms may exist in that phase. Maybe Deadmau5's got it. Ghosts n stuff.
I don't think it too awful difficult to create your own motherboards. Just like vidya cards the chips are already made. The vendors usually just provide the layout, connector quality, topology, features, and such. The BIOS is usually the hard part. You can (so I've heard) contact the vendors for custom BIOS. There was even a project not to long ago to develope BIOS specifically with a Linux boot loader built in. Unfortunately, probably where MS got the idea.
You've almost created a toungue twister. Try this, "Where's the warped walrus pit?" Say that lots of times fast. (Hint: Fernando was found in a Cambodian drainpipe)
"If you get rid of these cells that are damaged, then they don't have the opportunity to grow and form cancers."'"
"If you get rid of this guy that is damaged, then he doesn't have the opportunity to grow and form lineage."'"
Damn I thought I'd heard this before....
So.... This guy is responsible for the satanic, mentally disturbed, dysfunctional, mutated, disfigured, amoral, unethical, violent, twisted, sick, dark, cast of superhero vigilante and villains that we know today? The same one's that have provided a more suitable motif for the low quality of law enforcement that we have now, and have been responsible for training our bullies under the guise of 'leadership'. Can't... we.... compromise with My Little Pony? I feel dirty. Maybe its just my speling.
Don't worry, they are meeting with Apple execs as we speak to save the world. It will be called, the iDsalter. The commerical will be giving a can of Redbull to an astronaut, and kicking him out the airlock of the ISS with a parachute and a pair of augmented reality googles, bluetooth paired to an iPad so he can watch ads all the way down while recording his POV.
Yes, as the two former posters replied. I operate Debian. Quite often I don't get compatibility. The first disappointment was actually the practicing policy of the Debian distribution. You want Sun? Fine, disable Open or gcj. And it didn't work. In all those iterations there was and is always trouble. I've recently come across a fellow that really knows quite a bit about all the troubles with Java, how Linux handles paths, etc. But when I used to run Windows it was trouble also. I even have a tick right now, that if I start any application that uses Java, a good portion of the time it will slow my standard inputs down. I can't even type on the keyboard. Yeah, not a big java fan.
Here I sit. On a computer with 3 versions of Java. And it is very, very confused. And, this is what I expect of Java. Weighty, slow. It's cross platform implementation is the only reason I like it. Other than that, its a resource consuming behemoth that just rings up as another diversion for how many years? As a user it's always been trouble with policy changes and updates. It's making my browser have fits. So, fat or thin, thick or emaciated I don't care much for Java. I know I don't know as much about it as you guys do.
Nope, not working. I wish he wouldn't have used the term 'Hackers' however. The name just keeps getting denigrated more and more. What the Feds can do to fix this however, is spike the system like what was done before. And this time, make them pay for their mistakes.

Not helping an inverted tortoise. I mean, inverted turtle?

I'm up shit creek. I weigh 325 and am 6'6". Of course, if the Higgs does in fact give mass, then maybe I should lose some Higgs.
Thanx but no thanx.

I wish it was the Orion project instead...

No, please. Don't stop his logic. With that kind of natural ability he is sure to solve all the worlds problems. Let him insult.

What does a computer consider a positive reward? And, if you tell it what it expects as a positive reward, how does it realize it?
Ah, finally an Apple user I like! One that makes Apple look bad.

Unfortunately, prostitution is illegal in most states.
