The Gooseberry is basically the main board from the wave of 7 and 8 inch android tablets currently coming out of China without the touch screen or chassis. My Momo8 tablet is pretty much exactly the same spec as the Gooseberry but with twice the ram and storage. You can probably tell what tablet the Gooseberry comes from by looking at the shape of the board, has a fairly distinctive rounded corner.
66. On the first point, Mr Fielder's image is not what I will call a mere photograph; by which I mean an image which is nothing more than the result of happening to click his camera in the right place at the right time. I do not need to grapple with the scope of copyright protection arising from such a photograph. Mr Fielder's image could perhaps best be called a photographic work; by which I mean to emphasise that its appearance is the product of deliberate choices and also deliberate manipulations by the author. This includes choosing where to stand and when to click and so on but also includes changes wrought after the basic image had been recorded. The image may look like just another photograph in that location but its appearance derives from more than that.
67.On the second point, the collection of other similar works relied on by the defendants have worked against them because the collection has served to emphasise how different ostensibly independent expressions of the same idea actually look.
They are key and paint the case in a far different light from the scare mongering sensationalist headlines that have been produced about the case.
I see one of the demands is that we should tell website that we want future content in more open standards. The Flex SDk has been open source since version 3.0 and the Flash Player specification has been open for longer.
How does HFT improve liquidity? There was already a buyer and a seller before the HFT inserted themselves in the middle to make the exchange between the Buyer and Seller less efficient.
This is the stupidest "debate" in the world and once again, because it is an asine argument that favours Apple, we find Daring Fireball driving the discussion.
This is going to go down with the "why yes it is definitely better for the consumer if Apple bans cross compilers no I;ll keep my mouth shut once Apple reverse that decision a couple of months later".
It is close to impossible to describe the blatant hypocrisy of railing against Lodsys (which Daring Fireball has done) but then criticising Google's position on patents as being monopolistic and anti-competitive.
You win all the pedant points, victory is yours. Obviously I knew it was named after Miss Lovelace but for some reason I thought it was still spelled all capitalised when referring to the programming language. A quick Google search has disabused me of that notion.
You've never had to carry a laptop around if you don't see the weight differential being a massive glaring difference between a 2008 netbook and a 2008-era cheap laptop. And by laptop I mean back breaking block of concrete. Also you never used a cheap laptop away from mains power if you didn't see the difference between having a battery life measured in minutes - a cheap 2008 laptop would likely crap out at about 90 minutes top - and a battery life measured in hours for netbooks, my 901 gets 5 hours happily.
I love had back in the day C++ advocate sneered at ADA due to that fact that ADA was "designed by committee". Now C++ is the ultimate example of a design by committee language. And that committee is huge.
Why is this even news? It's always been known that the "Lie by Truth" was that there was no blood shed in Tienanmen square. But everyone knows the violence happened in the side streets and around the rest of the city.
And on the number of levels wikipedia is once again wrong, there were:
Norfed - The top level orginisation
Regional Currency Officer
Regional Currency Associates
Merchants
Who had varying levels of "discount" purchasing Liberty Dollars which they were then encouraged to spend or give as change "at a profit". Oh, and there were referral bonuses (paid in supposedly despised federal reserve notes) for signing up other suckers - I mean associates.
No they weren't, they had $50 dollar's stamped on them, they had less than $20 worth of silver in them. They were bought and sold through a multi-level marketing scheme,

You do know the earliest industrial scale aluminium smelting was (and still is) done using Hydro power?

They change here is that project leadership will now be shared between Adobe and an Open Source foundation.
One of the papers on the site says that liquidity in smaller stocks has decreased due to HFT.
HFT does not make markets more liquid.
Flash development is free. Completely and utterly open source and free. Google "Flex SDK" if you don't believe me.
The Flex SDK is completely free and open source.
You seemed to have confused liquidity with bubbles.

They are the worlds worst bully, they fold like a pack of cards every time.

Breathtaking.
They shut it down because no one wanted to advertise in it any more not because of the misconduct.
Shut your trap.

Oh yeah, they got shipped with pathetically small batteries didn't they.

my netbook only gets an hour and a half of battery power before needing a recharge.
*No Ture Scotsman Alert* That's not a netbook, I get 4 hours out of mine doing fairly intensive programming on mine whilst over-clocking it.

Now that's how to debase a currency.
