Yah, when I figured out I couldn't turn off the "beta" features I moved over to TVGuide.com which had almost the same format that the Yahoo TV listing used to have(when it was useful).
Blade Runner is such a pale shadow of the book that I can't stand the movie. It really seems more an excuse to just make a movie with a big star and not actually hire a writer to develop a story or adapt the book well.
And it does it poorly enough that it isn't even campy like Starship Troopers (not Dick I know) or Screamers. PK Dick seems to just attract crap interpretations, as evidenced by his IMDB page.
I sometimes purposefully spell it probly, since that is how the vast majority of people I know actually end up pronouncing it, but what the heck is a prolly? Sounds like a train mixed with a carriage (trolley and pram).
Actually they should get the money especially if they got the idea from watching Star Trek. And anyways patenst run out fairly quickly as far as hardware is concerned.
Blizzard has said in the past, and with the past being anytime in the last ten years I'm a little too lazy to look it up, that while they expected Battle.net to be a money sink, with the ads they sell it ended not just break even but earning them money.
Or you could save yourself some trouble all around and just order it online to pick up at the store, that way you always get the online price, and you don't have to worry about whether the product is in stock.
Don't worry, there is at least one publishing house allowing an encouraging its authors to release stuff for free, Baen. They have their Free Library and in a number of their hardbound books they include a CD that states "This disk and its contents may be copied and shared but not sold" , an archive of these CDs may be found here.
Then you end up with all practicality a ringworld as you wouldn't be able to do anything at the poles. So get rid of that wasted space and just make a ring. A sphere would either require two layers and have very low simulated gravity, or some kind of gravity generation device, which if it ever failed, could be disastrous, and many localized ones over something the size of a Dyson sphere would be a nightmare to maintain, along with a need to make portals if you actually wanted to leave the thing.
One big problem I see happening is he gets a new job for 30-40% more money from a company that can't afford him and he then loses his job. Company could close down, get bought out or any number of things or plain decides they don't want him. Now this isn't the dot bomb era anymore but these things still happen. Now when he goes to looks for a job and has 4 jobs in 16 months and no one wants to hire him for anywhere near the money he was making at his last job this can become a problem.
How is this much different than license plates on cars?
They have no real use unless they believe you've already broken the law and want to find you, yet I have never heard of anyone complain of the privacy violations that having a license plate entails.
I already have a car registration, why aren't people complaining that registration alone is sufficient and we don't need license plates.
Martyrs have always been one of the most powerful classes of people.
No one is taking away anyone's freedom when they distribute a modified work without source.
They're just not extending them the same courtesy they were given.
Why don't you promote a law that would allow me to kill you? By not trying to get such a law passed, you're infringing on my freedom to kill you.
If you're not willing to take a stand for what you say, why are you even bothering to say it?
And it isn't like laptops are that loud, and what about meetings? Do they have a full blown KVM extender setup in all their conference rooms?

Cheap immigrant labor, legalize them all and get rid of the minimum wage laws.

If you don't know, telling you won't make you care.

Even if they did say that, it is so cute he believes it.

Not a total replacement of course, but spying on your children certainly is a part of good parenting.

And I'm biased to VMWare for the exact same reason, I think someone may be underpaying you.

It is when the demand is twice as much, or whatever the number is, which we won't find out until we stop having shortages.
Apparently well over twice as many people as we'll even begin to look it.
And that doesn't even count the people who took too long to submit their forms.

Well thank goodness you keep electing a drunk murderer to senate to make all your problems go away.

He truly does know absolutely nothing about Burning Crusade, not even the price, as the MSRP on it is $40 ($39.99).
Why is it worse that no one makes milk at all?
I do not drink milk.
Humans are not built to drink cows milk.
And do not tell me it is in all these other products I use, because no, it is not.
There are now no planned maintenance times, just random "we have to fix this problem" now times.
