I think the iPod scratches way too easily. Come on Apple, there are many different plastic advancements out there...Think different and listen to comsumers.
The download even comes with liner notes that are (IMO) cooler than anything I've gotten with a CD before. Things like this have a great deal of potential with regards of attracting new users.
The makers of Hot Pockets microwave snacks released a statement today regarding the price point of their snacks, and the injustice they feel the microwave industry is doing their company:
"We are cooking our food in microwaves, but we don't have a share of microwave revenue... We want to share in those revenue streams." and also continued on to say their company needs to "get out of the mindset that our food has dietary value only"
Owning a CD is not a right, but being able to play back what I have bought legally and expect to use legally on my computer is a consumer expectation which should be granted by any company who wants to stay in business.
People are pirating music more because of stupid comments like these!
This is probably the biggest advancement in mouse tech since optical mice were invented. Yes, all the technology was out there already, but Apple were the people who made the experience 100%. I can't wait to see one of these some day.

Yes, anonymity is important expecially for people in China and other restrictive places you talked about. However, If people abuse a system too much (including the moderation system...which they do as well), then that system can't sustain itself.

I never heard of this band before until this, and I must say that I'm acctually liking their album a lot.
I just hope that other groups learn that the internet can be used as a great marketing tool like this.

Then again, humans seem to be going against the natural flow of evolution by trying to make everyone live forever and in a healthy way.
