My boyfriend and I (or me?) love the Harry Potter books and are glad that the received such an award. When our daughter was born, we started reading Harry Potter to her. We are looking forward to The Order of Phoenix so we can continue. Congrats JK Rowling!

cut and paste baby, I wonder how many other stories he/she/it will use it for.
I need to find out what movies are playing? seattle.citysearch.com - Do I click on the ads? Never. I dont even need software that removes them from webpages. I just dont see them. But, the site was of use and told me what was playing and gave me the phone number to my favorite restaurant so I could make reservations. Oh? I can tip them for this service? I would be glad to. Darn, no tip jar.
I dont buy the newspaper, I read it online. Can I drop 25 cents somewhere? No, but I wish I could.
Web designers cost money, content costs money, bandwidth costs money, infomation costs money, you get the picture. Im sick of those whiney cheapskates who say the whole internet should be free. Get real.
I have countless examples where I would love to tip a website for their services. Im not saying I should *have* to everytime I visit them, because everytime I go there I might not find what I need, but, make it voluntary. You want that website to stay around? tip for their services.
Some people say "I already pay for internet access". So? Do you think your ISP is keeping track of what sites you visit and then making micropayments to them for the content you are seeing? I think not.
It would be cool if Paypal or some other website would come along who would let me deposit, say, 20 bucks there. And any site I visited, I could tip if I wanted to. Im waiting for it, someone please do it! Im tired of visiting sites I like and finding out they went under.
Chernobyl happened in 1986, after his accident had occured. He talked about his memory in the lecture, I really don't know much about it. I wonder about this part myself.
His experience in Chernobyl was not secret- I believe he was a UN investigator.
His work on US atomic weapons WAS secret.
Sorry if I didn't write that clearly. I don't exactly get paid to write this... (It's not pleasant, either.)
I have had the misfortune of having to visit my mother a few times at the University Of Washington Hospital. Out of curiosity, I tend to peek at their computers. One on a nurses station appeared to be a terminal running Solaris? I asked the nurse, and she mentioned they keep track of patients on it, couldnt give me the name of the OS. In the ICU, I also noticed they had HUGE monitors in each patients room with all their history, it also looked like some form of X. I wish I could tell you more, but thats all I could nose around.
And this is a special leap day. Leap days do not occur on years divisible by 100 other than every 400 years. Luckily I got a birthday today, or else it would have been 8 years between birthdays. Now that would suck =/
Here I am at my grandparents, and all I can think about is the fact their computer is too slow, runs Windoze, the monitor is the tiniest thing (why oh why did I give my laptop to my little brother), and they use dialup. I actually priced them a new system and inquired about ISDN for them (no dsl or cable modem in this town). Im thinking, if I can get a computer that has Windoze for them and FreeBSD for me, Ill visit more often.
Newsflash: Teachers arent aware of this. Or else we would have all enjoyed school.

Im never sure when to use one over the other, and thats a good way to figure it out.

This is too funny. I wish I had been a fly on the wall at the meeting where this was brought up and given the go ahead.
(please dont bother to moderate me)
sorry, not a kid. a 25 year old geeky mother of a 4 month old.
I say he fell on it and killed himself, since in those days no one played FPS video games.
So how many languages do you speak flawlessly?
Do tell.
yeah he did, I thought it looked familiar.

It's a latin saying, favorite of my sisters. Instead of calling someone dumb, you say "My name is [their name], I eat soap and bathe in soup"
Kinda like looking at someone after they say something dumb and saying "Duh."
Surely the phrase, "Como jabon y me baño en sopa" isn't lost on MDI...
The site nsa.gov is running Apache/1.3.11 (Unix) on Solaris.
