I know Nintendo Power is a special case, but I quit my NP subscription when I was younger when they introduced advertisements. I've toyed with the idea of subscribing again, but the thought of buying a book of ads divided up by the odd game review doesn't really grab me, you know?
On the internet, at least, I have the power to block ads.
What bugs me is, with all these rehashes of old games, why can't they retain past good ideas? Why are they still selling console FPS games without individual button control customizeability? Why don't they all have eight or more bots in four-player multiplayer mode? Why don't they all have a decent camera system? Why don't they all standardize on what "Invert Y Axis" means? I've been hooked on FPSs since Goldeneye 64, but I can only count two FPS games that have somewhat improved on what Rare presented us with almost a decade ago?! Almost every single other console FPS game has completely blown it on one aspect or another (the worst being the lack of control customizability).
The point was there are virtually no video game movies made now except those by Uwe Boll. People would rather have nothing, because trashing the guy is an internet meme
Bashing Uwe Boll (and believe me, he's not the only one who's made terrible, terrible movies from video games) is not an 'internet meme' any more than calling the sky blue is a 'real world meme'. The guy stinks at making movies. That's just plan fact.
People would rather have 'nothing' because 'nothing' is better than a big, steaming pile of crap. When you have 'nothing', you can still have hope. Once a crappy film maker like Uwe Boll uses a film camera as his personal toilet, there's no longer any hope for your favorite video game franchise.
Just think: you're a gang leader and suspect that someone in your organization is a narc. You have all of their cell phone numbers, because that's how you communicate, so you call up Locatecell and get the logs. The one who has the local PD in their logs gets a pair of cement shoes for Christmas.
Sucks for the cop. If only there was some way he could have *two* cell phones: one for gang business and one for personal/police use...
family guy was an amazing show. and i was getting annoyed with going to my friends, asking if they saw last weeks episode and they reply with 'whats family guy?'.
Legos rarely break...so that means they only get extra sales from replacing lost legos.
They only get extra sales from replacing lost Lego bricks? Lego is not something you just buy one of and that's it; you can always buy and use more Lego!
EGO MINDSTORMS NXT will be available at most toy and discount merchandise retailers, select consumer electronics retailers or online at www.LEGOshop.com in August 2006 and will have a suggested retail price of $249.99 (USD) and $ 379.99 (CAD).
Why is the Canadian suggested retail price 30% higher ($90!) than it should be, after currency conversion? The price in Canadian dollars should be about $40 more, not $130 more!
You do.
The power of voodoo
The babe with the power.
Probably not. You probably just reminded them of the babe.
Because the Nazgul would've killed them? Because Sauron would've spotted that immediately?
Offtopic, I know...

I think the bias is warranted. I mean, how many OSes do you know that can interface with and take down an alien ship's computer using a virus?

"It was so obvious all along! They flap their wings!"
Whatever gave you that impression? Most movies based on video games suck.

Get it? Second life? Get it? i.e. I don't have a life?

Oh you can all go to hell!

I beg to differ. Something is lost. No one will make a proper adaptation of a video game movie when a crappy one has already been made.
That should read:
"Sorry to tell you, but when it comes to small property crimes like burglary, cops and laws, like the goggles, do nothing."

"Vista, I feel for you..."
You're friends with Patrick Duffy?
Are you referring to some sort of court ruling?

249.99USD = 290.19CAD, not 379.00CAD
What's up with that?
Shhh! Do you have any idea how upset she would be if she found that out?
That controller looks Amazing.
