Wait...we shouldn't get angry at something's lack of security features because, if the developers really wanted to, they could put them in. Never mind that some of them should already be there. Besides, in case you hadn't noticed, exploits in XP have been being patched for 4 and a half years now. Nothing much seems to have changed.

I don't see where exactly he implies Australia is inferior to the USA, but perhaps I missed something. All he said about Australia, as far as I can tell, was that it had different copyright laws, and the picture was not taken there. His post certainly does not seem "arrogant" or "obnoxious". It seemed to me that, having never heard of any such thing before, and, noting that your experiences were in Australia and thus subject to Australian law, assumed that it was not a part of US law.
I'm not sure if you're just trying to make a point or are actually an unedjumacated creationist, but, assuming the latter (there's a reasonable chance at least one will read this anyway), I have to say: nothing is proven in science - the closest thing to proof is sufficiency of (valid) evidence. In that case, the age of the earth is definitely proven conclusively.
You're misunderstanding. The point is not just to give you maximum freedom (which the BSD licence does do), but to give everyone maximum freedom, and so the GPL prevents your ability to take those freedoms away from anybody else. Hence, the licence makes the software "free, but as long as it is free to everybody else as well".
The word "believe" implies some degree of faith. One should use, especially when debating with a Creationist or similar, the word "accept", as in "I accept the evidence". One does not believe or disbelieve in evidence (unless one is a nutjob), one accepts it as valid evidence supporting a cause.

Most people, methinks, don't celebrate Christmas so much as they celebrate 'that thing we do, in December, where we buy presents'.
Errr...what? Because of the Nintendonitis article? It's a term that first appeared in the New England Journal of Medicine...I see nothing here suggesting Wikipedia should not be used as reference material...
Awful? Analog sticks? Rumble packs? Mario 64? Goldeneye? Ocarina? Smash Bros? Near-nonexistent loading screens (well, I never saw any that lasted more than 2 seconds, anyway). What the?!
I'd have to agree. I have a friend who loved PS2s until he bought his own Xbox. Now he's kind of, "OMG Xbox rulz PS2 is teh sux0rz Im getin an Xbox360 Halo3!!!" He's convinced buying an Xbox 360 will make him morally superior (though he hasn't said as much) to the heathens who worship at the altar of Sony and Nintendo. I, on the other hand, am not particularly loyal to Nintendo, they just make some kickass games, plus I despise Microsoft and Sony. I don't want to see Nintendo go the way of Sega (the Dreamcast was more than redemption for the Saturn and 32X, it's too bad about them), so will be supporting them by buying a Revolution.
Man, that's funny. "DVD will never outperform LaserDisc because it is inferior to LD". Classic stuff. "DVD will never do well in the market because LD did not do well in the market". I love it.
Not really. Misspelled is an acceptable alternative to misspelt, just like aluminum to aluminium. Whataever is probably a typo, which doesn't really count as a spelling mistake.
Errr...I think you're confusing Mega Bloks with 'large' versions of Lego and knock-off products. Mega Bloks are exactly the same* as Lego, and come in a variety of sizes, just like Lego. Big ones are called Duplo or somesuch.
*When I say 'exactly the same', I mean the same product. I recognise that Mega Bloks are inferior, and are a piece of crap when it comes to staying together.
I'm no movie aficionado, but I think it has just a leeeetle to do with the wooden acting, bad directing, contrived (Forced?) plot and the non-stop (to paraphrase a cousin post) grabbing of one's balls and screaming of, "Look! Special Effects!"
I'm saying: some of the Greens' policies are pretty far out. However, AFAIK, public perception of them is that their only policies are environmental ones, all of which are standard positions for Green parties worldwide. Nobody pays much attention to the Greens, dirty hippies just vote for them.
That's not true, except in conservative circles. General perception of the Green Party is along the lines of "uhhh...they, uh, like the environment...and stuff. And that Rasta guy smokes weed". Their policies on non-environmental issues (which are pretty standard AFAIK for green parties) are pretty low-profile.
You seem to forget sir, that by writing code and releasing it, you are doing a service for other people. There is no reason they should be able to take your work and profit from it if you do not want them to. If they want to sell something, they can write their own code. Do you think it would be fair if I were to take a scan of one of Picasso's pieces, draw a moustache on a face, then sell it? 'Tis what I inferred from your comment.
Think about that sentence. Airport workers...that are American. The sort of people who stop you if you have a suspicious occupation...such as blogger (that's clearly Iranian for terrorist). You really think there's a chance of sensible use?
No, they just started with more stuff. In TibSun I made a map with the only two base locations right next to each other, rushed the enemy as soon as the game started, and found he had a war factory, among other things.
These tools can be built onto Windows.

Hehe, in New Zealand, college means "high school". Nice to see international language standards at work.
It's one of those paper movie things. Like the words on the back of a DVD case, only way, way more of them, and made out of trees.

Virii? Would that be the plural of Virius?

Oh, yeah. Believing that American Indians are of Semitic extraction is reeeeeal scientific.

Odd usage of 'two'.
if it was used sensibly

Oh gawd. Big mistake. Someone's going to spot that eventually, and what will ensue can only be called, in the words of Linus Torvalds, a wankfest.
