  1. 14th Amendment is founding document? on Vint Cerf On Human Rights: Internet Access Isn't On the List · · Score: 1

The 1st amendment already covers this. There is no need to further clutter up our founding documents with some "right"... Brevity is your friend when you are drafting a Constitution. For much the same reason I think the equal rights amendment is a waste of time and ink. The 14th amendment's equal protection clause already covers it.

Yeah, those pesky "new" rights. All they ever did was extend voting rights to all adults and races and sexes, regardless of property ownership. Stupid clutter. This is 'Mer-ka! Land of the free white male property owner invaders! /sarcasm

You do know that the 14th Amendment wasn't a founding document, right?

  2. A Job for Jobs on Are Brain Teasers Good Hiring Criteria? · · Score: 1

Perhaps. The article says "looking at real code" is better. Again perhaps. For example the problem there is: did they really write the code, if so how long did it take? Did someone else suggest fixes etc? You don't know. I mean 300 lines of beautiful C is all fine and dandy but if it took you 3 months to write it and half of it is cut and pasted from the web how good is it really?

They recognized the beautiful code is a sea of crap that is the Internet, added to it, and made it beautiful. Would I hire someone who could spot that useful code, even if they didn't write it, and could add to it and still make it beautiful? You mean, would I hire Steve Jobs?
