I think the courts there are generally viewed as being very kind towards patent trolls like this, so they make every attempt to have their cases tried there.
I think you underestimate the value of convenience. Having a picture is about keeping a memory of a moment. If you can capture those moments wherever you are without fumbling around for equipment, then the purpose of having the camera in the first place has been fulfilled. Higher quality would be nice, but we're quickly getting there. My phone takes better pictures than a lot of the film cameras I used to have.
I doubt it's anything that well-thought-through. Remember that while there are a lot of real hackers and such that call themselves a part of "Anonymous", a lot of 15-year-olds who think image macros are the height of hilarity do too.
I wouldn't be at all surprised to see a bunch of them using their real information on there, even.
Meanwhile, people are starving the world over while this guy apparently, according to the article, is fighting for the Austrian government to legally recognize a religion that started as a joke. Glad he's fighting for the rights of people who really aren't discriminated against in today's society instead of actually helping people.
You can sue for anything you like, literally any reason at all. It's up to a judge to hear it and decide whether the case is valid or not. It's not the system's fault, it's the people behind all the frivolous lawsuits.
This post is interesting in another way: your dad was sent to a horrible prison simply for owning a typewriter, and experienced a true loss of freedom for such a minor offense. RMS is wailing about not being able to copy a book to a different device and talking about it as though his "freedom" was truly being violated in the same way. Talk about first world problems.
Most of that info is out of date as of last June, just FYI.
For instance, bars are no longer required to be private clubs; and I can think of 6 liquor stores within 2 miles of me, none of which are the least bit "tucked away".
You know: back, forward, stop, refresh, etc. If I have to click twice to use those you're only making it harder for me, and for what? To save 10 or so vertical pixels? I'm already pissed that you idiots removed functionality from the status bar without any good reason. Quit making your browser useless in an effort to save screen space, when resolution sizes are only going up.
That's kind of strange, the Smith's (local Kroger chain) in my area is always a lot cheaper than everything else. I wonder if they leave the prices up to the individual chains?
Of course, I've always wondered if the non-card prices are inflated and the card prices are what you'd normally pay. Seems like something a large company like that would do, at least.
...When you vote one of those spoiled MTV personalities into public office. Why would you ever put anybody who's ever been on any of their shows in charge? MTV has all but become the "glorify horrible people" channel.
The guy stated what he believes to be the truth too. And the evidence is piling up that you're a stupid piece of shit, so I'll go ahead and claim that as truth until you prove otherwise.

I'm glad you're happy with your phone. Mine allows me to do my job wherever I am. Different people have different needs, who knew?

I bet all those kids on your lawn get really tiresome, too.
He used to work for them, he's the idiot that tried to keep tabs on Anonymous and ended up getting hacked and leaking sensitive information himself.

Cool, meanwhile this issue will potentially affect tens or hundreds of millions of people.
They don't get to charge exorbitant license fees on unlicensed products, of course. Such a tragedy!

Wow, as a pirate I'm insulted he would insinuate that we would have downloaded any of his movies willingly.
A) I don't know where you're getting that "bin" means from, and B) I think Leonardo da Vinci would like a word with you.
Another Apple product I can add to my list of stuff I'm not buying.
I live in Utah, and every purchase I've made online for some time has had sales tax included.
That said, I'm against sales tax in general because it places an undue burden on lower-income people compared to the wealthy.
Or they could have thought of that and figured out a way to solve the problem.
What happened to all the buttons in those shots?

A) You're a joykill.
B) It's not a joke.

If so (of course they are), enjoy having them break and/or warp due to repeated fatigue on the materials.
Sounds like you're the expert, then. Why don't you publish a peer-reviewed paper and show those "researchers" how smart you are.
I'm pretty sure they worked it out, considering The Beatles are on iTunes now.
