    I'm a rugby fan you insensitive clod! OK replace tights with shorts and reduce the protective gear to a floppy helmet but the rest is the same.

    You may think that it is some grand anti-piracy conspiracy, but Microsoft is right. TPB is infested with torrents that contain malware. There are people who use it to spread viruses and malware. It makes sense too - it's quite easy method to infect peoples computers.

    It depends on what you call "right". I would expect a messaging app to send any message, not block something that it thinks won't be good for me. What if I work for a studio and want to let someone know that our latest blockbuster has been pirated? Or if I am researching antivirus software and want to tell someone of a zero-day virus I have discovered?

    More importantly where does it end? When AI is good enough will I be prevented from discussing "dangerous" topics, like making explosives? Or dangerous political parties? Or making non-PC criticisms of religions? Will there be calls for email services to do the same? I want to be able to send any message and discuss any topic I want.

    Having lived in Europe, I hate to say it but seatbelts aren't as uniform as you'd like to believe. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seat_belt_use_rates_by_country

    So yeah. Despite your "Stupid Americans!" attitude, seems like Europe in general could benefit from the US standard.

    The reason Italy is missing from the list is that most people questioned did not know what a seat belt was for.

    It certainly doesn't help that in a lot of cars you operate the horn by pressing the middle of the steering wheel, either.

    Italian cars would also have improved ergonomics if the default was on and you pushed the horn button to turn it off

    Have you seen his tricks? They're actually quite impressive, he's bringing some new ideas to spice up the dusty old "pull-white-rabbits-out-of-a-hat" magician community.

    Though there still are some dusty old "pull-white-rabbits-out-of-a-hat" magicians around I think this is an unfair comparison. The modern "conventional" magicians like David Blaine, Derren Brown, and eve Penn and Teller have moved on quite a bit since then.

    It's a well known fact that Chinese produce low-quality knock-offs that can't stand the test of time (or your pesky and stubborn dissidents).

    I strongly suggest you procure top-quality American equipments - they let you go to eleven. Pay a little now and nail whole lot more pests in the long haul.

    I'm afraid you're 15 years out of date. The boards in the "top-quality American equipment" probably have "made in China" stamped on them.

    except in the UK where they ask your religion, your sexual preference, your race etc.

    True, but it always says "you do not have to supply this information" then something about not doing so won't affect your likelihood of getting a job but that they hope you will because it helps them monitor their diversity.

    Not really a gender difference but managers who have worked up through IT though development, analysis, team leader, project management, etc. are at an advantage in dealing with IT departments. More men go through this. I have had one male IT manager who was brought in through HR who really didn't have a clue what was going on, when projects slipped his response was to shout "do it faster". I have had several women managers in the same position, who responded in a similar way. There is a school of management which says that a good manager can manage anything, from a chain gang to a research project. My experience is that this is not the case.

    Your argument works on the premise that men and women are of equal ability in this role. I'm not saying that they are not. However, how do you account for the fact that men are over represented within the prison system of every society? If men and women are equal, surely this would mean that men are suffering disadvantages on a massive scale?

    That's because oil is a global commodity and U.S. production has only a tiny influence on supply. Factors far beyond the control of a nation or a president dictate the price of gasoline.

    Basically you either have some form of protectionism or you pay the price that world markets will pay for your fuel. A company isn't going to sell it at $2 a gallon in the USA if they can ship it to Europe for $.10 a gallon then sell it for $3

    Absolutely. There will be digits in pi that equate to all torrent feeds. Your ID 39443409 occurs at position 30,329,023. Come to that there will be a sequence somewhere matching the entire contents of a video stream of the latest blockbuster movie. Does that mean its not copyrightable?
