    It's an important distinction to make. People come to the US for the quality, and people from the US go elsewhere for availability, usually in desperation.

    Applies to many things but not hookers or Mexican food.

    My brother got a large amount of medical work done in Thailand, from one of the top clinics in Bangkok. This and a two week holiday touring in very good hotels cost him roughly the same as having it done at home. They were also fully insured - the only caveat being that remedial treatment would also have to be in Thailand and they did not cover travel and accommodation, though everything went fine anyway.

    There are the 85% of kids who will do this and benefit from logical thinking as well as a real skill. Then there are the 15% who won't cope, and might be better off learning how to use a word processor, or even just that smashing shop windows and stealing is not the best way to get a happy and fulfilling life.

    here does seem to be a c3 programming language. The designer's blog gives the aims as:

    C makes programming more enjoyable for serious programmers.

    C is a general-purpose programming language that supports
    – low-level programming
    – data abstraction
    – object-oriented programming
    – generic programming
    – functional programming
    – metaprogramming

    It sounds a bit like an "all things to all men" Ada or PL/1 in vapourwear

    You can legally download anything you want. It's only distribution of copyrighted material that is illegal.

    If the thing you are downloading is copyrighted material, isn't simply downloading it distributing it?

    There is a difference between keeping quiet when questioned, which can cause inferences to be drawn in court, and refusing to be questioned without your legal rep being present, which cannot.

    Actually refusing to answer without a lawyer can be mentioned in court but the jury should be directed that under normal circumstances no inference of intent or guilt should be made. Abnormal circumstances are when the time itself may affect the outcome of the crime or interfere with evidence, such as if there is a bomb set to go off imminently or a critically injured victim at an unknown location.

    The point is that a very small average risk level might be outweighed by a very large potential or eventual risk level.

    A Phone and Android is not enough these days. In order to compete you need a network, an Application store and a stream of income that develops from that. Google sucks

    Also, if you had a starship that could travel to Alpha Centauri killing half the passengers it would be the safest form of transport - when measured by the aircraft industry standard terms of deaths per passenger mile.
