i love weird al and this makes me angry as hell. its a good thing i don't use itunes since i think it sucks. i buy a cd then rip it to whatever format i need.
everything i learned in public school probably could have been compressed down to about the same length once you cut out all the useless repetition and other extraneous bullshit.
i'm only 2 years out of high school so the horrible memories are still quite fresh. we used to have DEAR, drop everything and read, over the course of one week a month. 20 minutes a day during a different period each day we would just stop everything and read a book. this was a good idea but in practice it was really nap time and most people just had a book open to look like they were reading. i cherished this escape from the mindless bullshit that is public education. i've always loved to read but most kids in my school hated it and would actively avoid having to read anything. it was sad when these people had to get in front of the class to read a passage for english class because most of them couldn't pronounce anything correctly. a friend of mine now always tells me that books are stupid and a waste of time. i don't know what made these people start hating reading but i have a feeling that as usual the school system destroyed any thirst for knowledge by 4th grade.
I just moved to Orland last September to go school (a bad idea after i found out why Fark has a Florida tag) so this will be my first shuttle launch that i can go see. can anyone here who's seen a launch recommend a good spot to watch from? Canaveral National Seashore would be a great place but i have a feeling it gets shut down during a launch.
wasn't there an article a while ago about how google was trying to stop this since they were losing a ton of money to fake clicks? i think every online advertising company in the world has been working on this problem for a long time. suing them won't fix the problem but it will get all those lawyers a lot of money.
it takes a lot of practice to use morse code at the speed that professionals do. i don't think there are enough people out there that would want to spend the time to make this a viable product. you could maybe sell it on think geek but not to the people that shop wal-mart and best buy.
did CNN just make an article about based on a previous article on slashdot that slashdot got from a previous article on another news site and then slashdot went and made an article based off an article based off of one of their previous articles. does that clear this up?
I'm guessing hemp would require a lot less tending to get a similar amount. Instead of having to weed the beets you can just have a field of weed/s.
All corporations are private tyrannies.

i've found that even most computer scienists don't have anything interesting to say. thats why they don't have girlfriends.
