    As a side note, I am genuinely interested to see what string is given from the Safari universal binary running on a recently-announced, Intel-powered Mac.

    It's just a hunch, but I am guessing that the ligature features of the font used in publication didn't make it into the HTML version.

    I, unfortunately, haven't had the opportunity to try this out first hand, though I have read good things about DejaMenu as a solution for the single menu bar 'problem' in dual-monitor OS X environments.

    This seems to be a day of reminiscence for self... Before visiting Slashdot this morning to indulge in the history of the Pilot, I read a rather long piece on the legacy of Suck.com.

    Perhaps now I should visit the True Story of Audion for a complete and well-rounded dose of nostalgia.

    I believe you are absolutely right. I took a peek at Apple's Trademarks, and 'Mail' is absent from the list.

    It would have been appropriate for me to have checked the list before posting nonsense.

    It is surprising that Apple hasn't reacted to Pepper's choice of name for their email client.
