and France banning religious symbolism out of school is based on one the pillar of democracy: the separation of religion and state. People can't be truly free and equal in a state ruled/influenced by religion. The opiate of the masses.
Looks great but I still got too many issues when I open up MS excel files into OOo. I'm not gonna spend a whole day (days?)reformatting so that it fit OOo.
i've got both installed on my pc and wish for the day when i'll be able to go totally OOo. i really do. will it be today? i'm gonna upgrade and see how it goes.

People at the office were reluctant at first when i started to change all of the browsers to firefox but now everyone is happy and i'm happy. we are a big loving family thanks to firefox.
2 main thing that made it possible:
1-find the right themes. bells and whistles. peeps just love that. something that kinda have that Aqua look and they got a new toy to play with. lovely.
2-The IE Browser plug-in. that's the clencher. people complains that some website are IE only. just right click and open in IE.
soon we'll be done and over with the IE foolishness.
...and on a similar note that google desktop is just the best. Loving it.
I was thinking the same thing. who cares about ipod video succes or failure. the main thing is that applying the itune success recipe to on-demand film will make this new service a success.
This is real good move. and right out of the box the content is there. I've torrented Lost already this year but knowing i could have got it "legally" for a small fee i would have done it the itune way. this is the same situation as with music download and apple is moving fast on it. i'm impressed.

Most record deal's "teritory" are either the solar system or the universe. Aliens "recording" and "caching" earth music transmision have an obligation to pay the RIAA.
Microsoft is going to slowly but surely eat away at Google. Expect GOOG to fall to ~200 in next few months. $300 is a little high for a company that DOESN'T PAY DIVIDENDS and instead of giving financials tells reports about their chef. Google is great, but it is still a bubble.
That has nothing to do with dividends. actually, paying dividend in the case of high growth(expected) tech stock is usualy followed by a correction because it dilute the capital available for development. Once a company is established, read reasonable PE ratio then the investors expect dividends. That's obviously not the case of GOOG.
Even then...
Do i need to mention Berkshire-Hathaway?... check how much it's going for. What? $80 000.00. they never paid any dividends... regardless, the they-don't-even-pay-dividend rule has nothing to do with the stock price of google. it's the expectations that drive the price... and lots of people have great expectation in this company.
