except during a few last municipal election that included montreal. they used the similar ones and *ta da* had the same problems. operators lack training. systems crashed or couldn't load up the programs on the day of election. NIGHTMARE!
thank god government isn't taking care of the essentials like electricity, hospitals, roads, and the likes or man would it be rubbish...
huh.. wait.. huh they do... out here anyway... shite.. we're trouble..
this is not how it could work. this is exactly how it works. anybody who has ever worked at management level in a factory will be able to tell you so.
although the numbers are a little overblown for example purposes this is basically how it's done. there always someone somewhere in the factory that "liquidate" the faulty stuff. as long as it's not too faulty and unless when you sell it by the pound you get more money for it. but that's basically what the grey market is.
the whole thing about reverse enginering is total bs. it makes no economic sense. the return on the effort just makes no sense at all when the sub standards ready to be "get rid of" are all there for the taking.
Hate to bring this up but the bluetooth on the iMac has been nothing but nightmares. the mouse and keyboard bluetooth is riddle with problems. after too many phone calls to apple support and hardware exchange i switched to whole damn thing to good old usb cable...
today when i opened excel it crashed because of some execption error from.NET framwork with Google Desktop. i don't know the ins and outs of what really happened but looks like MS is fighting back in usual fashion.

"Google is targeting Office, which generated $2.95 billion in sales and $2.09 billion in profit in Microsoft's third quarter ended March 31. Microsoft plans a new release this year and is trying to get Office into more consumers' hands at a cheaper price while persuading businesses to buy higher-priced versions."
I never thought you could make so much money off software more like!!
How on earth can $2.95 billion sales translate in $2.09 b profit is absolutely utterly insane!!! that's 70% profit margin!
surely someone can release a competing product at a much lower price(free or eye ball rev) web based. Again, way to go GOOG. let the MSFT hog make his way to the slaughter. unless, of course there something wrong in those figures...
Obviously, you don't own any PFE share or Merks. or simply took the time to look at where Pfizer has gone in the last five years. That "health care industry" is one of the tech sector that has not yet recover from the said bubble.
first recovery. then maybe, just maybe we shall see some kind of growth in this laggard area. the whole phamaceuticle industry is in a big re-organization at the moment. squeezed from customer side (it's not patient anymore... but that another issue) demanding cures to be on the market faster and faster. with all the danger this entail; damages, civil suits, lost of credibility, etc. And also, they're being squeezed on the other end by the generic market which doesn't create anything, just manufacture the drugs.
health car bubble? health care bust bust more like.
extra knowledge. thanks to/. the internet reveals its mysteries to me.

...and in other news man re-invent wheel! It not really made out of a circle shape but rather a serie of short lines forming a shape reminiscent of a circle. think octogonal but more like 100gonal. super!
designing a new keyboard layout... what a waste of time...
duct-tape/wd-40 theory is much more elegant.
duct tape to stick things together
wd-40 to un-stick them
there you go. unified!
