Granted they might be hackers but I find that social engineering to gain access is like a subset of hackers. Its not script kiddies but then again it doesn't seem like phishers and the like are deserving of the term hacker IMO. In any case, I think it would piss anyone off if they just shut down a site because a bigger site asked. Anyone with enough emotion and motivation could find ways to retaliate.

I wonder how she feels about this issue or knew of it? Do you think she would have started this sort of action or was against it idea? I would guess that it was the incoming CEO's push to try and meet the expectations of the board. Until this settles out I guess we will never know how deep the rabbit hole really is.

Yes I see your point. I wonder what is truely the best way to (read: legal) to quickly and anonymously stop this sort of bullying. I think it's great and know its possible to create havoc on their lives but in the end that makes the geek no better than the bully. Right? I don't know I have always thought revenge was a dish best served cold but as I grow older usually the effort never gave the satisfaction I desired for the amount of plotting and time I put into it. As well as the worry of getting "caught" I need to keep reading the posts for this one because someone in ./ has a useful idea for the what I am thinking.

I think its rediculous because they are making the assumption Americans only like a certain range of music. Kind of reminds me of that song by Elvis Costello "Radio, Radio" except in this case it can be called "iTunes, iTunes"

I dont think a highschool non-geek will be on WoW worried about his gold being distributed. From my experience bullies tended to be less intelligent and more focus on masculine things like sports/myspace 'pimping'/girls/ and cars. Granted geeks will like some of those things too but they would also embrace technology more so than I think a bully. Hense my assumption most high school bullies arent playing COD or WoW. I do think you make a decent point about parents email. If you start messing with the "bullies" parents email and work email accounts I bet they would have a great interest in getting their son/daughter to fix the issue or leave the person in question alone.

WHOA! It seems you were more offended by his comment than just attempting to point the errors in his joke. So one lame Asian joke turns has suddenly become exploding hate......interesting bias friend. I don't want to silence the guy

Who said anything about silencing. You are too quick to think this is all about you and defending yourself as to look to the meaning of my post. Take some time and look at what you let his response make you feel as opposed to what it actually was.

Would you still have commented if he got it right? I think all predjuidice and hate stems from peoples ability to give into the social meanings of words in turn this gives the words "their power". So if he correctly or incorrectly used a sterotypical Asian pronounciation of a word, is in fact irrelevant. Your post gave his bigotry more power than ignoring him would have. But our moderating overlords ultimately determine who are trolls and people of good character so my post is irrelevant as well.

I agree the Europeans have very efficient diesel engines some even made by American automobile manufacturers. I particularly enjoyed Mercedes 40+mpg CDI engines abroad as fuel is so expensive (several euros per litre). Many people claim that diesels cars are dirty and pollute a lot but with newer technologies I have hear they are quite clean and environmentally friendly. Anyone have any real European diesel data/facts/experience to aid in my rambling?

While your comments are heartfelt and understood. Your recomendation for shareholders would send the company into financial ruin. You are addressing a solution to a secondary problem. The true problem is in the dynamic of the modern corporate board. It is a group of people who usually lack the passion to drive the company for its business model. Their only drive is "usually" greed and self advancement and promotion.
