Yup, people go and rip DVDs, make a torrent, and host it on TBP purely out of the immense benefit they get from using all their bandwidth to intial-seed the torrent.
I normally get a new hard drive, install a newer OS on it, rotate my other HDs down the line, possibly take out a really old one.
Then all my data is available on the old partition, but I can (hopefully) avoid all the malware and bloatware I've built up over my time since last rotation.
It hasn't been "enabled". It is just the awful registry hacks / obscure files (like, extremely shadey made up system folders just for holding Microsoft Firefox plugins) that were released early on by random people.
What they should have done is made it an uninstall-able item in the add/remove programs dialog, but they are too shady for that.
At the very least, when someone is logged in as an admin, the Disable/Uninstall buttons should work, perhaps with warnings that this will affect all users.
I assumed it would be set up like GMail documents: you click a "publish" button, and a link is enabled + given to you to publish. Can anyone confirm/deny this?
The converters being most complete and currently maintained / supported are:
TeX2Word - a shareware LaTeX import filter for MS Word
GrindEQ - a shareware LaTeX import filter for MS Word
latex2rtf - a free standalone LaTeX -> RTF converter for PC, Macintosh and Unix,
TexPort - a commercial TeX/LaTeX to WordPerfect and Microsoft Word converter for PC.
TeX4ht - a free LaTeX to html or XML converter for PC and Unix produces html which is good for loading into Word. TeX4ht relies on other software, it needs at least a full TeX system.
There are also converters to Powerpoint and to FrameMaker (see further below).
That page goes on to give details on other methods of conversion.
If the sugar pill with 0.00001% of some drug has the same effect as a plain old sugar pill, clearly you should just buy some damn sugar pills.
Or drink water upside down, or have someone scare you. Anything good for hiccups tends to be equally good at anything else with which placebo's are effective.
That is absurd. I'm a white male, but I can say I definitely see enough racism or sexism around me to argue it is still something that needs discussion.
The idea that you need to intentionally discriminate to be racist or sexist makes no sense, actually. Modern discrimination usually comes from stereotyping rather than some sort of hatred.
What about children under the age of 8? Can they resist advertising? They tend to come out of fast-food advertising believing that Big Macs are healthy and that McDonald's has genuine love for them and their best interests at heart.
No no no, you will pay for it obviously. Otherwise you would probably be restricted to non-Steam servers, AKA 1 shitty server. Instead you will download a conversion mod that valve will strangely not mind.
With all these standards, if companies didn't follow them, there could be problems.
And if you drive without a seat belt, you might get in a car accident! That is a stretch at best - there have been no reports of horrible bugs due to Palm's hackery.
Palm didn't follow USB standards and tricked iTunes into thinking it was an iPod.
The Palm Pre reported the same device ID as an iPod. This is not breaking any standards or agreements. This is also in the spirit of the standard, and of interoperability, because it emulated the exact interface of the older iPod without any of the "problems" you allude to.
In response, Apple specifically decided to target and shut out a competitor's product.
Palm isn't trying to compete with iTunes, they are trying to compete with the iPod. And it is illegal for Apple to intentionally use leverage in one market (and they have an unquestionable monopoly in the mp3 player and music library markets) to give an unfair advantage to its products in another market. By taking their widely used music library software and specifically targeting Palm's device to not be compatible with, they are abusing their monopoly.
It is up to Palm to make syncing with iTunes managed music as easy as Apple makes it for iPod users.
And they have succeeded at doing that in the most efficient way possible, so why the bitching?
A majority of *old* hard drives. The SSD market is exploding very rapidly, and many such drives have reads and/or writes near or past the 100mb/s marker, better than the 132 mb/s speed displayed by that movie transfer.
Also, I'm really looking forward to how your explanation of how a detector is going to relay proximity, speed and direction of travel anywhere close to the ability of the human ear.
Are you kidding? Call me when the computers can even do arithmetic as well as a human!
You best be trollin'. Jingoist? I'm saying we should spend the trillions upon trillions we dump into killing foreign civilians into saving our own.
Oh, and iraqbodycount puts the number of civilian deaths since March 2003 at between 93k and 102k. So still not significant compared to things like infections from unclean hospitals, or deaths from septicemia.

Installing from scratch?

Actually, I'd say it does mean it doesn't work.

You should try the game Insurgency.

That is stupid, they should simply use a random arrangement of characters but always have all available characters.
My bank doesn't use a pin at all, so consider yourself lucky :)
Until we start talking about Microsoft Vs. Open Source again.
USB 3 host and device with a USB3 cable WILL WORK anyways, just at USB2 speeds.
What do you expect for fucks sake?

Hah. I honestly don't believe that this isn't just samefaggotry.
Would you rather have firewire, were the cable will plug in either way and FRY YOUR DEVICE?
Are you kidding? USE A USB2 CABLE.
If you need to use your USB2 device with a USB3 host, you use a USB2 cable (which came with your device).
If you need to use your USB3 device with a USB2 host, the cable works too.

Are you kidding me? If they prevent 4% of those, they saved more lives then preventing September 11th.
Again:
Get your fucking priorities in order.
As of yesterday, we hit 4,344 US military deaths in Iraq since 2003.
In 2004, there were 83,000 preventable deaths in hospitals due to negligence or malpractice within the United States.
Get your fucking priorities in order.
