Why the heck did Google select the resource hog Norton? Norton is by far the most annoying and disfunctional AV on the market. I would have prefered NOD 32 or Kaspersky. They do their job very well and are resource efficient.
iCam, the very portable and beautiful camcorder. It's small, feels great and has the most intuitive user interface ever. Everyone from geeks to grandmas use it and love it.
If it's the employees who make a company great, how can you safeguard the company's future by firing them? How do you then achieve greatness?
I think this is more about anorectic corporate theory (i.e. keep firing people to become leaner because you never no how grim the future might be! And shareholders like it, too!) than HP having too many employees. How sad.
Wow, war even drives innovation when it comes to clothing fashion. Seriously, these underwear seem to be really great. I wonder if the British Army will open up their own Yahoo! store and sell these underwear...

Those who haven't checked out the site, will find the Google Hacking Database (GHDB) very interesting and somewhat scary. The things people put online and the security of certain systems is mind-boggling.
V for Vendetta is based on the comic with the same name. It's one excellent comic, focusing on totalism, freedom, hope, love and payback. The comic's artwork is dirty and raw, creating a very fitting atmosphere for the dystopic story.
Those of you who have read V, probably know that when it hits the mainstream, people will draw parallels to the real world (USA and GB) today. It's as topical as ever.
V for Vendetta only costs $13.59 at Amazon - buy it. It's an intelligent comic and uses the medium to send an important message.
So the future Windows will be called Vista. But where is the news that really matters?
I want to know what happened to WinFS, Avalon, Indigo and all the other revolutionary tech that Long... Vista supposedly would offer. How much has been cut and how much does Vista really differ from XP? How much will Vista cost?
Somehow, Vista doesn't seem to be, as Bill Gates once said, the the most important release since Windows 95. Let's hope Vista is more than a new color scheme and fancy GUI components.
Tech causes problem because we haven't yet learned to handle it. Sure, we use it all the time, but that doesn't mean that we're using sound strategies to handle all the information and requests from colleagues.
Just read the article: more and more companies are realizing that they cannot continue with all of the information management like they have used to. At first, these little tricks will seem pretty odd, but once we filter out those that work for everyone involved, they will be strategies commonly used across entire industries.

Am I the only one getting feed up about books with "hack" in the title. It's not like the English language has a shortage of words.
Now we got Google hacks, brain hacks and astronomy hacks.
The problem with fancy GUIs is that they often use more of the system's resources, i.e. RAM and CPU.
Personally, I rather use a boring but fast app than a applesque peice of software...
