I think you can get the TIGER database from USPS for a nominal fee. It comes on about 10 CDs, and can be used for not only zip code lookup, but you can actully create interactive maps with it that look like MapQuest maps (or any other website that has a locator and interactive maps). I think the price for the whole set of CD's is around $50 if you get it from usps. Also, I believe you are allowed to reproduce/resell it, as it is public domain. Alek
