I definately agree with you. No matter how good/bad a school system is, the parents are the most important part of bringing up a child. Any parent wanting to let the schools teach everything, and then plunk them in front of the TV while they do there own thing, is gonna end up with... well... that's hard to describe. Because if they don't care how their kids turn out... You can fill in the blanks.
Is this supposed to make us feel safer on flights? If they need 10 minutes after getting a court order, don't you think the plane may already be blown up?
I remember when i was in high school. Our church youth group went on a trip somewhere, and they brought a projector and an NES. They actually had these kind of games with them.
There was one I remember where you were Noah, you had to pick up animals and throw them in the ark, but none of us could figure out what the controls where to actually get them to stay in the ark.
Seriously... It was something right out of the Flanders' household...
True enough. These DJs I know (co-workers/ex-co-workers) all do that when making their own mix. However, for kicks (and a few measly bucks) they do spin vinyl at certain venues of other's work. We actually were on a business trip, and he had a whole backpack of records that he dragged on the plane. Guess some people prefer using 'antiques' in some situations:)
From TFA: "Our culture no longer bothers to use words like appropriation or borrowing to describe those very activities. Today's audience isn't listening at all - it's participating. Indeed, audience is as antique a term as record, the one archaically passive, the other archaically physical. The record, not the remix, is the anomaly today. The remix is the very nature of the digital."
Hmmm, I know a few DJs, and they all spin vinyl...
Zope may not have the offerings of commercial products, but it does have FTP and WEBDAV support (I can't recall from the system I've had to work with if zope has it built-in, but it would at least be available through add-on products).
Easy, I have the firefox installer (as well as all the security patches) burned on a DVD-R before doing a fresh install. Install everything needed before hooking up my network cable. Problem avoided.
There's about 5 websites I visit, period. people send me links, I don't click on 'em (for the most part). I have had spyware get installed before, for the record.
Instead of getting a clue, maybe I should be more descriptive in my posts.
The people who are dumb enough to take these polls are the people who dont know how to prevent spyware...
I have a hardware firewall, software firewall, popups blocked, and dont visit 'those' websites.
When a phone survey comes my way (or any other telemarketer), which hardly happens, I tell them to take me off their calling list. Problem solved.
I did have one 'survey lady' call, and when I interrupted her, "Could you take me off your calling list please?", she replied, "I can't".
I told her she was going to have to if she didnt want her company to be sued, so she said she'll get her manager to do it.
Can't wait till VoIP starts getting spyware through telemarketers.
Telemarketer: "Hello, would you like to apply for the new [insert credit card here]?"
Customer: "No thanks, I have enough cards." *faint buzz*
Telemarkerer: "No problem" *chuckles*
It was '2, Insightful' earlier, but I guess someone who believe theories to be hard facts came along and got offended. No biggie... afterall, this is/.
If I had said carbon dating has proven things existed for over 6000 years, I'd probably have been modded +5 insightful...
Now this post is a troll, if not flaimbait...
I've also heard of a farmer who took a bone from one of his animals that just died, said he found it burried, and the carbon-date testing came up with it being several thousand years old... Could be one of those urban legends though...

I realize many parents arent able to do this, but home schooling is probably the best option.

Hey... You're logging my keystrokes, arent you? That's it... I'm moving to Alberta
Ugh, what a peice of garbage that TV show was. Despite the fact I loved Joe Flahherty(sp?) in SCTV, this show was such a pain to watch.
Ok, so I admit I have never even looked at what napster has to offer. Mr Bungle is good music...
Wait... Does this mean I can search the web from my toaster finally?

Just don't get it wet... or feed it after midnight...
I'd prefer to see those little garden suckers made up to look like neanderthal's...
Kryten: You're that sure they're dead? Rimmer: You've only got to look at them, they've got less meat on them than a chicken mcnugget!
