I might be misunderstanding you, but my point is that the enhanced system is no more prone to false positives than the system of calling in to dispatch or using an in car computer to check for stolen / registration / inspection / insurance status.
That has nothing to do with the tech, it still would have been flagged stolen if the officer had ran it manually.
You also didn't say how many other plates were ran. Instead of being one "error" per eight, it might be one "error" per 5000. I put "error" in quotes because the problem was in the database, not the sensor.
I have a number of wireless devices (Specifically a cordless phone and my mouse) that use AA sized rechargeable bateries, and fit recharge in their bases. This may just be a money maker for Nintendo, the standard model comes with standard Alkaline cells, but you can upgrade with a charging base and batteries.
As you said, Musicbrainz is in the public domain. Both should contain essentially the same data, so why does freedb's version need to be brought into the pd?
Well, PPS files are supposed to open in show mode. PPT files get saved as a PPS file so you can give them out so everyone and their grandmother can view them without spending ten minutes finding the "View as Show" option. In MS Powerpoint, you have to open the program, then chose to open the file to open in edit mode. Perhaps you should try that.
Oh, you mean the extra $100 you spend on a (All prices MSRP) $100 hard drive, $40 Component Video Cables, $20 headset and $30 remote. (Thats a total of $195)
Actually, since 9/11, the US has had officials at border crossings watching the people leaving. For me, they say "Are you an American citizen?" I say yes, and I can go on. Now if I were of another race, it might be more significant.
But anyways, the point is there are people on the border.
Hmm... the US site doesn't seem to have anything about this on their main page. They do have a page http://www.us.playstation.com/Adaptor/ for american owners, but the page linked in the article is supposedly for all jursdictions, but I'd trust this one first.
They also make you send your "defective" adapter in before you can get a new one. I wonder how many people will do that?
Usually, you can set this option in the BIOS settings. I had an old Toshiba, say 1993 (RIP - Not worth my while to fix) that did it, so any computer should be able to be set to do so. Also, who says it has to be closed?
90210?
Nothing bothers me more than websites that requrie a matching zip and address. In that case I give them the address of Ralph C Wilson Stadium, the home of the Buffalo Bills. I get alot of spam for Ralph C though...
My personal favorite number to give out is 8675309. If they don't like it, tough.
Also, I don't think people understand that it isn't going away totally, its just going to be limited in some states that have stronger laws.
In my opion and experience, google is a good thing for webmasters. If you don't want people to see something, don't put it on the internet. Its that simple.
Hell, if they took away google from canadians, I would lose half my traffic. Most of my search engine refferal URLs are from google.ca
There is also the game Puzzle Pirates. Its a Java game, so it runs on Windows, Mac and Linux.

What about refrigerated trailers? They kind of need to keep those cold, and you need power to do that.
