  2. Re:I can see it now... on Microsoft to Replace Blackberry? · · Score: 1

heh, its even funnier because of todays SPAM-ARMOR. For an example, look at my email address above.

  3. What about spying? on Microsoft to Replace Blackberry? · · Score: 1

Also, with the new "monitoring" of search engines that is starting to occur, do you think that M$ will be able to read the e-mails that go over the network they control? I mean, media player already sends little bits of information, whats to say that e-mail can be monitored and flagged by certain text. Example: "Lets start using Linux" Suddenly, an e-mail would be sent to your handset, offering a DEEP discount on a new server product. Or with the government going APE POOP over wiretapping, how about a tax break for some open door e-mail access?

  4. would we be able to on HOWTO, Cook an Egg With Your Cell Phone · · Score: 1

I wonder if we would be able to cook larger things with more cell phones? Like if we had 12 phones could we cook a pizza? Or with 20, a plate of cookies? As well, this shows the amout of power that goes out form these phones, and most of the time, they are next to our heads! Hey, can they make enough heat to keep us warm, like if were stuck in a snowbank?

  5. with vista on Symantec's Genesis to Usher in a New Age of Trust? · · Score: 2, Interesting

They may try and bring this in along with vista. The new age of windows OS is supposed to be better, faster, stronger, and more secure. With Microsofts deep pockets, do you think they may help syman. try and make things even more secure? Or maybe try to make it seem like it, give people a better hope of security. just an idea

  6. Dude on Linux Powers Military UGV · · Score: 0

Dude, what could be scarier then an ARMORED, ARMED, SUPERPOWERED, and automated DEATH PINQUINE? I LOVE THIS IDEA!! We don't even need it to have a gun, enemys would run in fear....at least I would....a giant automated killing pinquine....(Note to self, build death pinquine running on linux....)

  7. if your desperate on Equipment Suppliers You Can Trust? · · Score: 1

It may be costly, but if its a hard drive, going to staples and picking up a power supply or a hard drive just long enough to keep things breathing, can be an option. Or, if its a motherboard, sometimes a MA and PA shop, there just to grab a MOBO or proc, to get you back for a day or two. But then, when the dust settles, go to your normal supplier, to get the things you really need. I'm a NEWEGG fan, but Tiger is good for cheep ish.

  8. so they can listen on Microsoft Teams Up With Japanese VoIP Carrier · · Score: 3, Funny

This is all a ploy to launch a VOIP so they can listen in on our conversations, and blow up the computers of those not running windows. Careful, they may copy our voices and turn them into speaking bots ALA Microsoft Sam narrator voice.

  9. look on Intel's New Slogan Clarified · · Score: 2, Funny

Look before you Leap Intel. AMD isn't leaping, they are starting to sprint past you. While your dancing like a schoolgirl.

  10. the power of slashdot on Christmas Lights and Google Maps · · Score: 1

I'm wondering if the influx from slashdot (the slashdot syndrome) will make the lights go out on all those crazy christmas displays. Seeing the page took about twenty seconds to respond when I opened it. And this this has only been up for like 15 min.

  11. One thing on Google Acquires 5% of AOL · · Score: 1

One thing that we have to keep in mind, is that they shut out the EVIL M for this deal. I don't know who else they might try to partner with, but can you imagine if M$ tried to parter with someone like EARTHLINK, or COMCAST, to get deeper into the ISP market as google has just done? And in addtion, what if this is a good thing, and they can even bring prices of AOL's service lower? They may even be able to help AOL's wonderful customer service. Finally, google can now place even more ADS into the AOL software itself. Microsoft VS. the "G"OL browser. (Even though firefox would beat them both, its another way google can get into your office, and if they can get part of AOL's music service, your living room.

  12. MMMMMM Gunpowder on Apple Releases Multi-Button "Mighty Mouse" · · Score: 1

This is a good idea, however, some people are still going to want to use the pill mouse, that one button big thing. If they still are going to use it, will it be supported by Apple, or are they going to just have to bite the bullet? More money for apple maybe? Someone gave their three cents earlier, well, I have 26 of em', all in pennies. Here you go apple, take it and RUN!

  13. Open source on Mac mini Built Into Wall · · Score: 1

Can someone make an open source program that will do all the cooking for this guy? Like controls the toaster, fridge, stove. Macs do all kinds of interesting things, let it be a virtual wife!

  14. YAY! on Xbox 360 to have HD-DVD, Eventually · · Score: 4, Funny

Yay! I just paid out my rear end for this new 360, and now, a BETTER ONE is released later on. I'll just buy a new one, cause I have so much money. It's sorta like the plus pack for Windows XP, only this upgrade is worth more then half a soggy cookie.

  15. But that is a good thing.. on Google and Yahoo Creating Brain Drain? · · Score: 1

It's a good thing that its harder to find people. That means better pay, better benifits, and MORE RESEARCH in finding emploees and acctually know their stuff, Versus just hiring someone that with a peice of paper that says they know what they are doing. But in reality, they bought the degree from some website. They have to work harder, not a bad thing so they appriciate you more when you sign your life away.

  16. Yes, its unlikely, But it may happen. on If Microsoft Went Open Source · · Score: 1

Although unlikely, it may occur. Think about it, Microsoft wants to be king of the market, so they make everything open and free. However, it would be a self installing worm, akin to the borg. Only, it's called the bill. It would spread across the net, taking over every computer that it came in contact with. It would be Microsoft's wet dream. "We are the bill. Lower your antivirus and surrender your hard drive. We will add your IP address and network to our own. Your computer will adapt to service us. Resistance is futile." The only thing we have to worry about however, is the damn Ferengi stealing our credit card information through our bill-mail...I mean e-mail.
